Upvote if you want secret missions back
Remember the quest for Black Spindle? That was a real grind when it first went live. Don’t pretend it was easy!
We need more events like that.

This is an awesome idea. Things like this really create excitement for the hard core players. Everyone else can do them or not. Never had the swords or black spindle myself, and didn’t care that I was missing them. But some people do care, and it gives them something to enjoy in the game. Things like secret missions with worthwhile guns are awesome. (not like the rat king, which sounded great but didn’t perform in comparison to other guns)

But to do that they would have to hire - people with imagination, good story tellers, good designers/developers, proper programmers and a lead with the desire and will to make it fresh and exciting. They would have to sack around 200 of their current tea boy staff to do that, never gonna happen who would make tea and sandwiches for the lazy staff?

I'm mind blown that they didn't try to incorporate things like that in D2. It was quite obvious how popular the hidden things in D1 were. Black Spindle was the absolute best surprise. Meanwhile, D2 lost sectors show up on the map. Sigh...

Bungie gave us secret missions like xp throttle ghost perks that dont work betraying players. Those count

Nobody even knew about the -Last Exit Cypher- until the "accidental" leak, because it was hidden so well. Did anyone ever even solve that cypher, and find the Easter Egg? Edit: You never know, with such low numbers, there aren't as many people exploring for these things.

The only way to get exotics should have been black spindle level secret quests hidden inside things like adventures and lost sectors. But they went all Oprah on us. [i]EVERYONE GETS AN EXOTIC!!![/i]

For all we know, D2 has thousands of secret missions. We just haven't discovered them yet. That's how secret they are. * Mind Blown* :-D

1 RespuestaThe fact they didn't include any hidden exotics or even tie anything to Cayde's journal fragments was the last straw for me. That aspect was so obviously loved and even now not a single hidden quest exists. Keep in mind that the senior designers at Bungie *get paid* and yet are so ignorant to their job that they can't even repeat past successes despite literally hundreds of thousands of people asking for it. I'll never forget the excitement of completing the Outbreak Prime puzzle live on the night the community cracked it.

i no what D2 does need and thats the ability to rotate the planets to choose different Dead zones to explore, if they did that they could bring the cosmodrome back.

best thing about the secret missions in D1 you didnt need a team to do the mission you had a choice in D2 it forces that choice on to you so ye would love secret mission if you could also do them solo.
