Quick little reference of D1 patch notes shows making ttk too fast breaks the game.

7 RespuestasEditado por Soupreem: 3/22/2018 6:54:49 PMOkay, there are several problems with that damn video. 1. Thorn was nearly hard countered by Red Death, Red Death had a true 2 trigger pull kill (no waiting for DoT) and the healing made it so the poison didn't kill you. Nowadays it would be made nearly irrelevant by the anti-DoT ornament, what they should've done. 2. Last Word was a bit obsurd and I think range falloff in general should've been harsher in general to buff scouts and pulses a bit. But I didn't have many problems countering it with a pulse or scout at long range. 3. The shotguns were completely destroyed by a primary in many situations, only huge exceptions would've been blink (since nerfed into nothing) and rounding a corner. 4. Very original Viking funeral touch of flame was a bit broken, I'll say that. But they again nerfed it way too far (albeit the reworked Viking Funeral is at least pretty nice in PvE). That video is just whining about things where I only found 2 of anything broken, where they were nerfed into the ground or removed within D1 or going into D2, making D2 extremely bland. The DoT would've been fine if the anti-DoT ornament was introduced earlier as opposed to nerfing them into the ground (on top of the fact that old Red Death hard countered Thorn). On top of Last Word, a legitimate case for removing the 111 headshots, albeit still very beatable, and another gun that just kept getting nerfed.

I don't think anyone(or very many people anyway) want ttk as fast as all that. Just a slightly faster ttk. This video is just a straw man argument based on the most broken era of D1 pvp. D1 had a revolving meta. So does D2. The only thing that has changed is the pace has been slowed way down and they changed scoring to make people feel better about themselves. I'm not sure why you care though. It's not like your stats are going to suffer. You'll just change your playstyle a bit like always. Main problem is pvp numbers are pathetic right now, and that is bad for everyone. Increasing movement speed and buffing weapons, while also creating the weekly rotating Rumble/Mayhem/ IB may well be just what the game needs to get more people in the crucible. I haven't set foot in there in season 2 except for a few games of doubles. It's just too slow. I don't mind doing poorly. I just want to play poorly at an increased rate.

Look man using a streamer to make your argument is flawed because most of the community hold them partially accountable to the sorry state D2 is in. They had more input than us into how D2 turned out and ultimately tanked because of that, then they bailed. Sorry but they don't deserve the respect people think they do.

19 RespuestasWith everything that’s gone on, I wouldn’t quote Datto...... That being said, since I did not watch said video, I’m under the assumption that it is only about a ttk change to the Y3 D1 values. If that’s the case then yes, this post is somewhat correct. However it’s because TTK change alone will not solve the issues plaguing this game. It’s one of many core features that desperately need adjustment at the same time. Adjusting one will solve nothing on its own.
