Token throttling CRUCIBLE
Why Bungie would you throttle the amount of tokens you get one you have over 1000. I used to get 5 per win now it is only 2. Please explain the reasoning for this

The end goal is to throttle everything so the game dies and Bungie can put D2 behind them. It’s too hard for them not to f*ck something simple. Examples in the past and present: XP throttling Minuscule buffs 4v4 High TTK Small maps Unregulated sandbox Poor feedback Vipers

9 RespuestasAt this point do you really need the tokens? Here’s my current process: 1. Get tokens from crucible matches. 2. Take tokens to Shaxx. 3. Trade tokens for weapons from Shaxx. 4. Dismantle weapons because I’ve already got them 500 times before. 5. Take weapon parts from dismantled guns to the gunsmith. 6. Trade weapon parts for guns from gunsmith. 7. Dismantle guns because I’ve already got them 500 times before. 8. Repeat steps 1 to 7.

4 RespuestasI have 2,400+ Crucible tokens saved. There is not much use for them, so I am saving them for Season 3. I also have 800+ IB tokens. The weapons are not worth buying this week. Maybe next time.

Urghh I hate finding out about this stuff. When they are going out of their way to make sure you have a bad time... how much trust can we possibly retain with these kind of hidden systems prevalent around every damn thing?

It’s not really throttled. I’m pretty sure extra tokens was a season 1 clan reward. The rewards reset each season so you’re earning the base amount of tokens. I’m not saying I like that or agree with it, just that it’s not strictly throttling. One question though, is there a vanguard weapon or armour piece you’re chasing? If not, why does it matter. D2 now is just a vicious cycle of grinding for Faction rewards to dismantle for parts to get a different vendor reward to dismantle.

People have spoken and we Love a grind game. Just has to feel like there is something higher or better to chase. Like MHW. Game stops at like 100. The grind goes on and people are eating it up. It's not a grind if you enjoy it. BUNGIE doesn't understand making a motivation to keep playing. They forgot the fun and loot also. Then gave you no where to stack all that worthless gear. But they sure as hell take the time to make countless Pretend grinds. My favorite is doing the exact same shit on all 3 guys every week. Was okay on D1 when all the gear could be different with different stats. Now what's your point of playing all 3? Game over. Literally
