Honestly, I’m personally believing us Nightstalkers aren’t getting a nerf. I see more of a balance thing. Yes, I understand our dodge is OP and our Jesters can make it moreso... But I feel like giving some aim assist on invis post dodge animation in return for an extra second or two of invis is fine. Plus... 20 second cooldown still remains, so it isn’t bad.

1 RespuestaTruthfully I don't care about the nerf, just the stupid logic it has

22 RespuestasEditado por Alex: 3/13/2018 1:01:13 PMThis is a nerf no one asked for. Invisibility inherently means you should be more difficult to aim at. Titans not only have the most powerful grenade in the game but they have 2. Warlocks have and insane melee distance, a healing ability with offensive option and an almost fool proof super. What do nightstalkers have...we can go kinda invisible. PLEASE! rethink this! To be clear I don't want any class nerfed.

4 RespuestasI like how such a small thing gets so much attention, but NO ONE IS SAYING SHIT about the fact that the super is trash. The skill gap for the actual super is so damn high when compared to other supers. Not getting killed when you're directly hit from a tether is completely trash, and no excuse exists. These arrows don't even track nearly as well as the D1 arrows So, it takes more skill to hit a target that won't die when you hit them, and all their teammates will kill you before the arrow even activates it's tether on everyone other than the primary target, that is also still alive.

It’s a decent PvE buff, but I feel in PvP you won’t really be bringing much to the table anymore. With how aggressive Destiny’s AA is, and how obvious the “Invisibility”, I think it’s just going to be a “Hey! Shoot me!” button. Another indirect nerf people aren’t talking about either is Trapper’s future effectiveness in Comp and Trials. With a few radar based perks and a big advantage of invis being not on the radar, many classes can easily just flank where a NS used to. I’ll see how the changes play out, but I think Nightstalker is going to be in a pretty weak place after the changes
-
They are effectively removing multiple Hunter exotics from use as well. (If pvp radar goes).

1. Bullet magnetism. It's not just AA that's being turned on here. Reduced AA is a much better option than this. 2. The removal of radar from end game PvP effectively removes 2 Hunter exotics and half the perks in one of the NS trees. It's a nerf. They just aren't marketing it as such and hoping no one will notice.

17 RespuestasEditado por AlphaLion42: 3/11/2018 9:30:03 PMOur dodge in not OP by any means. As a matter of fact there is not one thing in the hunter subclasses that I would consider OP. Players complain about things being OP, however it’s really more a matter of people playing CHEAP. Big Difference. And I think that’s the problem, it doesn’t matter what class you are you’re going to have CHEAP players, Or less skilled players. Not to mention IF there ARE any classes in this game that is OP it is certainly not a hunter. I’m not saying that to be biased I’m saying it because it’s a fact. People can absolutely be cheap with invisibility and with the Gemini jesters which I’ve never worn once and never will because I’m not a cheap player, but it’s cheap not OP. The Prometheus lens when it first came out , THAT WAS OP. Either or everybody’s entitled to their opinion, thank you for the post and have a great day.

The invis nerf can be dealt with. Where my concern is the entirety of “Way of the Trapper” relies on luring enemies into traps via radar blips. Without the radar, this tree has taken a massive hit to its viability. Obviously there are ways to adapt to it, and as we as hunters will adapt as we always have. I just think that Bungie didn’t look at the consequence of the radar changes to the subclass that requires radar to be effective in play testing. Wouldn’t surprise me if they hadn’t tested or considered this during testing.

1 RespuestaI would've been fine if they left everything alone with aim assist and tracking on invis, but just changed the way it triggered back to how it was in D1. Where you had to crouch for an extended period of time to trigger it, and not be able to instantly use it as a crutch in the middle of a gunfight like we have today.
-
This is me when a Nightstalker goes invisible mid fight.
-
1 RespuestaThis is what I'm saying. All of the salty nightstalkers are like "we're getting nerfed BOOO OHOOOOO" and I'm over here like, nah dude, just the aim assist is getting buffed for everyone else.
-
1 Respuestamaybe now the little crutch stalkers will have to develop thumbs
-
3 RespuestasThanks Bungie.....now nerf Warlock and Titan melees or buff Hunter melee. Lightly armored Hunters need something to counter their OP melees. Oh by the way...Bungie you suck!!! And yes you Locks and Titans suck!!!!!!!
-
bungie made them too dominant
-
1 RespuestaNightstalker is OP! You need no skill playing with nightstalker!
-
1 RespuestaI'm alright with it. Just wish shadowshot would at lease 1hit a target, even if it doesn't kill a supered player I'm still dandy with that.
-
1 RespuestaSo you are happy for guns to auto track you when you are invisible?
-
12 RespuestasNerf is nerf. Balancing involves both buffs and nerfs. But when something has its effectiveness objectively reduced that's a nerf.
-
1 RespuestaThis shouldn’t count as a nerf. ThT shit was just broken. Can’t aim at invisible hunters, that wasn’t the intent behind the dodge. All they did was fix the “glitch” where you can’t lock into invis characters, while buffing the time they stay invis by 1 second. Soooo...its a net buff lol
-
14 RespuestasFor the first few months of this game, everybody complained and complained that the dodge is worthless compared to the other class' abilities. I can't keep up with all this community. I generally just assume everybody hates everything, even if they don't have a real reason.
-
Moving my post to Feedback tho... :/ Okay I guess.
-
4 RespuestasJust gonna throw this out there - you can use the Jesters on classes other than Nightstalker. Doubling up Jesters with Invis is a cheap trick - running them with a Gunslinger to walk into the middle of the enemy team with an HC while they don't know who to shoot at is just funny. :D
-
A little nerf and a little buff. No more aim assit and target tracking disruption while they are invisible, but they get one more second of invivibility
-
3 RespuestasGood to see a positive hunter. (:
-
5 RespuestasHonestly those hunters that see it as "THAT" bad of a nerf sucks so much ass into the crucible and cant stop but think because this sub class lost the feature that made other players Lose the aim assist when aiming down sights when they just have to turn invisible. Yeah for real nightstalkers are totally on equal terms to all players and sub classes now. Pathetic, it seriously is, and I call myself a hunter.
-
13 RespuestasNo it’s bad lol no more surviving gun fights and being able to push with antiope. You are already seeing the transition to arc strider. Get ready for arcbolts and lucky ras I’m calling it now
