Congrats on joining Cozmo as a community manager. Does this mean you’ll be interacting less often now? Not that it really matters.
I am pretty curious though, there are far less players, and you guys just kicked a bunch of people out of the forums. So why are you doubled up on community managers now? It’s something that doesn’t make much sense, kinda like increasing employees at a factory that’s cutting production. But that’s not really a stretch from the company’s line of logic.
It seems like resources could be better used to bring players back to the game, like by making it better.
Doesn’t make much sense to me, but congrats anyways, hope you get a raise with it.

Hope to be here more often.

Q: Why double up on Community Managers? A: While Cozmo was out, I performed CM dutues as Acting Community Manager in his stead. It's been found that we need a CM present in far more meetings than a single team member could attend - this ranges from Triage (bug processing) to greenlighting (features) to general development and playtests. I hope to speak on your behalf whenever I have the opportunity to. Translating your feedback takes many forms, and representing you in these meetings is but one example.
Cheers, -dmg

8 RespuestasEditado por TheShadow-cali: 2/21/2018 4:59:24 PMIt doesn't matter if there is 20 of them. Nothing will ever change because the only reason they are here is to try to put gamers at ease. Yes they have a job to do like taking info back to the devs on suggestion, ideas, likes, dislikes etc... The problem is, 99% of the feedback from the community whether it's positive or negative is thrown in the trash because of the higher ups. D2 is a prime example on how well Bungie knows their player base or just don't give a flying hoot. IMO it's both and the game is proof of that. The game was built for them, not the gamers. This forum is mainly for gamers to just to chat with one another and that is as far as most feedback will ever go. Except for the small petty things that don't really matter that this company might pay attention to just to say "see, we listen"

Can dmg be muted? He says a whole lot of nothing.

8 RespuestasThis. So very much this. Congratulations for the new job on a sinking ship that is captained by myopic morons. You must be so stoked. I am sure both of your friends who still play this crotch full of lint excuse for a game are wicked excited for you. I hope your salary makes up for the the amount of hate and discontent you are undoubtedly going to get in return for trying to communicate the vast array of terrible decisions made by Bungie's world-renowned cadre of terrible leaders. And on the bright side, when Destiny ultimately folds, I imagine the vast public relations and crisis communications experience that you will undoubtedly gain in this endeavor could be extremely valuable to the likes of Martin Shkrelli, Spicey, and the Mooch. Congratulations again Dylan. And if you should decide to nihilistically drown your sorrows, I happen to know first hand that the Wilde Rover in Kirkland pours an exceptional pint of Guinness. L'appel du vid Dylan. L'appel du vid!

1 RespuestaEditado por mja calg: 2/23/2018 9:21:36 PMThey are hiring more Community managers and "Bungizing" them so that they are seasoned and ready when the next DLC drops. It takes time to become leathery skinned and resistant to the well deserved Slings and Arrows that the community hurls on a daily basis. That way they can spin this up coming massive cow flop of a DLC like a pizza pie and dish slices of poo every time we open our mouths.

4 RespuestasA second community manager , the demand is so high for another manager ? I would beg to differ , strikes me as arranging the deck chairs on the titanic.
-
And nothing is going to change.

Two times no communication is still no communication. Just shows you how much money Bungie have to throw at community managers.
-
I've never seen a community manager that was hired on for their own purposes. i.e.:making it to more meetings. The interaction from any of you at bungie is pathetically minuscule. And you just told us it wasn't for more interaction, but for being able to make more meetings. It's like adding cashiers at wal-mart to have a louder cheer after a meeting, but not to check customers out up front. Good luck ever winning back the trust of this community.
-
It's always good to get a promotion that lets you do even less work. Pretty sure that's the only reason management positions exist as most places would run without them.
-
Great! Another lump of coal added to the Bungie team that is responsible for maintaining below mediocre standards. It’s more likely that this guy was brought in to assist in the covert like attempt to make their own game go away as quick as possible. Everything that they have done up to this point is a study on how to get players NOT to play Destiny 2.

This is the shitpost thread DMG deserves haha.
-
Damn, don't know if i would have done that, i mean jumping on a sinking ship. Anyway, just being able to say what you have been told before is not the greatst of all jobs. Being the sponge that gets all the hate because someone else did mess it up also. Good luck, you're gonna need all of that.

Cosmo doesnt even play destiny

He’s just replacing Deej since Deej kinda doesn’t exist anymore as a CM. I’m halfway convinced that the real Deej either died, left or was kicked and they are just playing a ruse along that he’s still with us.
-
Just another power abusing ninja, silencing the folks that say anything negative bout the almighty over lords. They take more time giving half a shit bout the forums and not fixing the game. Lol GG bungie!

2 RespuestasAnd we need another community manager for an ever shrinking community because....? Oh-yeah, you guys are listening...

FaceBook needs to stop teasing the “dislike” button and just buy the patent to put it on the Bungie forums. Really? A promotion? Starting to sound like my company...... hire nothing but sales people, but no service people to back them.... wonder if my CEO is talking to Luke Smith....
