rifts are good to creat a safe point, if you rush at someone on a rift the healing do not help in anyway, in fact if you anticipate you can kill the warlock when he summon the rift. You can also denied the rift and barrier with any area granade. Im not saying those abilities suck, but they dont give you any 5 times advantage.
