1 RespuestaLet's be honest, D1 was not perfect by any stretch. I did get immensely better over time. I was ok with this because I felt D1 was a bit of a grand experiment for Bungie to see what worked and what didn't as they pioneered a new type of game. I expected those lessons to be incorporated into D2 - many of which were not due to their compressed development cycle. If Bungie could just slow down a bit to take 3-4 years to build a Destiny game, I am confident it would be incredible.
-
Only 2 and a half years till D3, so hang in there!
-
Basically they created a Red Carpet for MHWorld, free drinks from the house

4 Respuestasit is the most politically correct game ever made. it is a game for kids under 10 in reality. luke smith has also stated in the past he made sure systems catered to his 4 year old nieces.

Editado por Senor Crouch: 2/12/2018 3:41:42 PMLiterally all they had to do was copy and paste almost every gameplay system from D1. All they had to do, then focus attention on building up new areas, new story, new mod system, new PvP maps. I pre-ordered almost exclusively on the premise that all the gameplay mechanics would be the same, re-skinned mechanics from D1. I mean Bungie, come on, it is your specialty...re-skinning, and it was what I was hoping for in terms of the mechanics. But instead we got obscure new systems that do not make sense from a PvE perspective, that was supposed to bolster PvP, and yet failed at both in incredible ways. Bungie, all I was asking for was D1 mechanics with more choices. This system is nothing like D1 with....wait for it....even less choice than we had in D1. "Holy crap! Who is running this army!?"

If the destiny games were trucks...

This game is done

No I am casual and I hate this -blam!-ing abortion of a game. I miss D1 so bad I can taste it. They just -blam!-ed it up completely, it does not matter casual or hardcore the greedy lazy -blam!-wits screwed us all and destroyed the most promising IP in years. -blam!- TOKENS AND -blam!- BUNGIE
-
1 RespuestaBungie listened to the D1 PvP crybabies and built D2 around PvP balance. That is the main reason why it sucks. The people that like D2 PvP are the same bad players that cried "NERF! REEEEEEE!" for the last 3 years.

1 RespuestaMore hyperbole.....just what the forums need.

3 RespuestasSad and true, but what is done is done... Maybe if we all could try to be more helpful than just bashing the game, idk like if the mods had a bigger impact on cooldowns and such. Also the same to weapon & armor perks, now they're just bland. They said that mobility is going to get improved, that's something.
hope it's not 0,04%
Balance is always going to be an issue in a game like this, the fun factor is way more important.

They should just have expanded on d1 instead of making a true sequel.

Bungie didn't make D2 for new players; they made it for the casual gamer. A great portion of players from D1 were casual players, so that became Bungie's demographic. Bungie confirmed their aim was toward the casual gamer and to create a "collection game". If you read the contract between Bungie and Activision, more specifically the section about development, you will learn about the time frame they have agreed on in producing a vanilla game along with four DLC each, all in a span of three years. Bungie has majorly changed D1 and D2 in the middle of development, so is it a surprise the Destiny Franchise has come out feeling insufficient? Hell no. They are incomplete projects, and until the bigwigs from these two corps can agree on renegotiating a contract to extend a more realistic time frame to develop a game, this franchise will continue to be a nightmare. Bungie shackled themselves. They aren't stupid. They're just cutting corners. Does it excuse them? No. But now you have a clearer understanding of why. Anyone in their position wouldn't be able to hack it. The stupid part on Bungie was at the very beginning when they thought developing a game they have 1/3 experience in would be Masterpiece material in 3 years, a formula they've been following for Halo.

3 RespuestasHonestly, I think much of the "causalness" of D2 is just PR spin, given the short development time they gave themselves after rebooting D2 in Feb 2016. Their master plan was most likely to focus on the casual nature, then add the hardcore/long term stuff as time goes by...

2 RespuestasThe biggest issue with this was the development model they used, and are using presumably for D3 as well. Get the whole team engaged in getting the game ready for the world on time. Get as many features rock-solid as you can, and shelve any of the others. Keep the team on the project until the first DLC lands. Then cut it down to just the live team and part-time sandbox team, and ship everyone over to the new title development. D2 should likely have been exactly what everyone is saying; the logical and more mature iteration of D1. The idea would have been to start dev on D2 after everything for D1 was cut into stone, even if it was still being worked on. Instead, the design and dev teams split off from the live teams fairly immediately, and as such, the 2 products feel pretty unrelated to each other. As they should, D2 took none of Y2 or 3 into account during development. i don't know how much improvement can be made in D2, but the true form of the shit show started early enough in D2 that I would hope they can carry some lessons over to the D3 dev team. Will they? Ummm...I'm not even going to take a crack at that.

4 Respuestasjust go play D1 dude, everbody moves back. towers are full , new and old people everywere :D and its funnnnnnnnnnn

It’s the reboot the community asked for

3 RespuestasDestiny 1 was a lot of fun, yes, but it had its problems, much like D2 does now. The change in approach to communication gives me and a lot of others hope for the future of the game. Some of the recent changes make the PvE side a lot more enjoyable and meaningful. It’ll get there eventually.
-
They made D2 to appease what they liked (L Smith, Weisnewski, Hamrick, etc). The only thing player-base wise they are concerned about is our wallets.

Editado por iBett x: 2/12/2018 1:38:27 PMD1 was an amazing experience and Bungie went and ruined because laziness, casualness; and the true end game, friendship.

2 RespuestasInstead of giving us more content for d1 they shit destiny 2 made for $€ and casual, kids and handicappers who can’t get a kill by themselves they need to hold hands aka team shot pricks
-
1 RespuestaThey did not make the game for new players, they made the game for a quick buck.
-
58 RespuestasBecause Destiny 1 was a serious negative blow to bungies reputation It was a massive disappointment that despite 3 years and a $100+ in dlc count retain nor bring back 10% of its total players Despite what you hear on this forum, D1 was not a success in the eyes of the public
-
Yep so true they messed up bag and are paying for it now
-
4 RespuestasDestiny 1 was nowhere near the perfect layout for a new game. For starters, they couldn't even decide their genre and how the loot would play out.
