Unbalanced PvP was what made D1 fun

Remember D1 House of Wolves era PvP? The Thorn meta. The shotgun meta. OP everything. It was hella unbalanced, but it was fun. People kept coming back because of addicting it was. You could one shot, but get one-shotted. Skilled players thrived, but bad players still had moments. You could clutch a 3v1 in trials, you get could a 6 man nova bomb, you could ice breaker someone from the back of your spawn! Now look at D2 PvP. This game is the epitome of balance. Barely any one-shots, time to kill is high as hell, team shotting is the only efficient way to get kills, and even if you were a PvP god in D1 you'll be just as good as everyone else in D2. You can rarely ever 2v1. If you kill 2 people with a nova bomb at once you got lucky. Snipers don't exist in Destiny 2 for all I care. Destiny 1 year 1 PvP was fun because the game embraced its unbalanced gameplay. no one complained about being weak in Year 1 PvE because the game was balanced around PvE, weapons were made to be powerful before they were balanced. That's how it should be. Ever since bungie switched to focusing PvP over PvE the game became a boring shit fest.
