I posted something similar to what Lethal is saying here, but with a little more context and actual links.
Lethal, while I still think you're a lazy poster and a shit stirrer, I agree with you on this one, and you know I'm a Destiny fan.
My OP:
Now I know there's a large section of the community that don't give two hoots about YouTubers and Twitch streamers, but you better be damn sure Bungie does.
These people are the free advertising Bungie counts on to build hype and influence people (in general).
I'd bet the house on it that they're pretty chuffed when these proponents are singing praises about the Destiny franchise and Bungie as a whole... But do they care equally as much when the opposite occurs?
I decided to poke around a bit, and have compiled a list of mainstream "popular" YouTubers that main Destiny as their subject matter.
And boy...
Well, I'll just leave these here.

There's more... Wayyyy more.
Now, I'll finalize my post by clarifying that I am in no way influenced by YouTubers, or by Twitch streamers.
If you're happy with D2, I'm happy for you, and not trying to say that you're wrong...
I bought both Collector's Editions (the really expensive ones, especially here in Australia).
All DLC's including season passes.
I'm a perplexed fan right now with no reason to log in except when I feel the need to shoot aliens in the face for a few minutes... Because let's face it, not many games do the basics better than Destiny.
But that's just it... It's just the basics.
If Bungie doesn't care about those guys and their negative videos, then they certainly don't care about the paying customers who populate their world.
I want Destiny to succeed... But I just can't see that happening right now.
A YEAR for these fixes... Fixes the TWAB skated around listing once again.
They don't care about me as an individual.
Or even millions of us, as they've clearly demonstrated... Because they already hit their contractual targets.
But I'm seeing a similar theme in a lot of posts right now, and I never thought I'd feel the same way... But right now, Destiny 3 would be a hard pass based on how the show is being run.
That should be of concern to them if nothing else.
These are just my feelings, and they don't represent the community as a whole.

God damn ms 5000 Watts is annoying as hell.
-
lol@aztecross’s video...in fairness, I think the franchise is already dead. It was a fun, if not bumpy ride, for the first 3 years but the dream died a long time ago for me (TTK, despite the good stuff it brought, was when all my friends quit playing and I was left playing the last year of D1 like I had started the first year off, solo...D2 has just been the final nail in the coffin).
-
lmao you got both collectors here in Aus.. bro your a fan that Destiny shouldnt lose, i dont blame you, only reason im hanging in there is because my clan is very active and full of beasts, if it wasnt for them i would of been DONE.
-
I read, "full of breasts"...

Editado por Xenomorph: 1/22/2018 4:02:30 AMCheers mate. And if my clan was more active at least I'd have something to do. Unfortunately most of the guys in my clan just do the easy milestones each week (if any), then don't touch it again until next reset. I suppose that will drop off altogether soon as everyone will be max light with all exotics. Funny thing is though, that happened in D1(everyone was max light with all exotics) but no-one stopped playing. Funny that.

See, all the content creators who built their channel off of Destiny can do now is make videos that bash the game. That's the only thing that anyone will click and watch and give them income. That's not their fault because the game does indeed suck. This entire franchise has sucked since House of Wolves was released. Other YTers figured out that this game sucked way back then, so this is all old hash with new people jumping on the bandwagon. BDobbins was an annoying hack when he was making videos constantly to bash Destiny, which I'm sure made him a shitload of money based on the views, but he wasn't wrong. And as it turns out he's the revolutionary YTer that everyone is now copying when it comes to this game. This game is the Titanic and if those content creators don't abandon ship, they will go down with the game.

Nice post!

I also paid for the most expensive pc collectors version.. so disappointed that it has come to this. The Ceo resigning probably has no connection to Destiny but i would like to think it has some relevance. Keep in mind, the CEO of EA is still retaining his position after the shitfest that was BF2.

Good balanced post Nice :)
-
D2 sold based on D1 latest dlc experience (before that, was trash)... D3 sells will fail based on D2 actual status... Bingo is done.
-
Keep it short and sweet for the target audience ;) nice post by the way.
-
I get your hook, but mate... I know I'd be more inclined to "listen" to your posts if they were a bit more constructive instead of just "Bungo sucks"
I know that's not all you say, but you get my drift. Consider it constructive feedback
I agree with everything you've just said goth and broman help build the destiny community. I don't know where broman is on destiny but I saw goth mass message. Bungie will take notice after this but I think it's too little too late. The saddest part about this is where getting D3 news? Seriously, either this is bungie's way of saying we've screwed up big time or trying to finish this contract and be done with destiny. Either way it's bad for this game.
-
So without broman and cronies there wouldn’t be a destiny is that what’s being said?
-
I said help, not that they are the only reason d1 was a success but simply help.
-
I forgot to say I agree in part to what you say, but I don’t think it’s relevant anymore as bungie have a clear mission on how destiny is going to be and we either play it or go.
-
I like to think we all made it successful with our time and our wallets. I didn’t even know who they were till I can on these forums and that was after I parted with cash. Maybe it’s just my views that are not trendy, I just don’t get the phycology of putting people I have never met on pedestals and their word is rule. Shit I’m 42 and the only like button I’ve hit without a hammer on you tube is nature channels the sexy woman who’s does bikini try on’s, bikini or and other form of under garment is worth a like all day long. These guys don’t contribute anything to the way of the world they sit there playing a game and say hit subscribe every 30 seconds like a robot, battle of the subscribes.
-
The You Tubers and Streamers who covered Destiny were a major reason D1 was such a hit and anyone who says otherwise is either a fool or a troll They helped create much of the hype that surrounded D1 and Bungie had no problem in exploiting the use of the internet through these shills who were more than happy to pimp Bungie's product in return for free swag or free trips. What's so sad about these individuals is that even now so many of them are reluctant to be brutally honest about the state of the franchise, as the color their videos with phrases like, "still holding out hope", and "it takes time".
-
And don’t forget “how excited they are”
-
The most important thing about all these guys leaving Destiny behind is that without them Destiny 2 might not have happened. Destiny was destroyed in the gaming press but these streamers saw the potential and stuck with it. They were amongst the hardcore of us that kept Destiny afloat because everyone else abandoned the game. Make no mistake, these streamers/content creators leaving is a huge deal.

Bump! I feel this is a large part of what every one is feeling!

so true
