With over 2000hrs and over 500 total raid completions on d1 alone i played the d2 preorder beta in hopes i would see the spark d1 was losing and find a reason to go all in again. 4 hours into the beta, i grabbed my receipt went to gamestop and demanded a refund. My exact reasoning was as follows. "They dumbed everything down to resell us d1 through future dlc's and updates. That's all d2 is, the price of the next 3 years of updates at the cost of a full triple a title with half the content and none of the power fantasy of its predecessor". I'm no psychic but i am observant.. Everything from how weapon tunning was nerfs and buffs isntead of a consitent flow of competitive content, to the false promises of removing perks to retool them for balance to be re-added for better balance. From the proven lies about how legacy consoles were holding d1 back only after making legacy consoles obsolete, we got no better graphics, no extra vault space, no more frequent drops of new content, nothing, just obsolete consoles and discs. The way d.o.t. was handled and the artifact that was made irrelevant months before its release cause of the nerfs that neutered that mechanic... The fact pvpers call t.t.k the greatest dlc of d1 while easily forgetting t.t.k. introduced bloom to handcannons making them useless for nearly the entirety of the rest of d1's relevance. The fact t.t.k removed elemental primaries to: A: increase time played B: increase variety Then t.t.k. released tons of reskins and raid weapons almost no one wanted and all previous raids and strikes after t.t.k were speed ran. Strikes under 3 mintues and some pve endgame content took just 6 minutes. Bungie has lied to this community time and time again and i barely scratched the surface. No one listened to me in d1 or when d2 beta was coming out so now I've unequivocally been proven right and am the self proclaimed "oracle of bungie", i ask a simple request. Voice your opinions.... The nearly 80% majority opinion that destiny is a shameless cash grab and no one game should ever place at risk the future of gaming itself. Voice that opinion by using the only language companies understand or respect. Money. #REFUNDDESTINY. Unless you really think it's just a coincidence that bungie only decided to be productive after their cash cow tess was trending as the games most well known villain.
