Why does everyone act like this is not the normal way expansions work?
This place makes me want to kick puppies.
Edit; So I'm wrong, you guys are right,
everyone should be able to play all the content whether they choose to move forward with the game, or stay behind in vanilla.
The solution to this is to offer various levels of the Raid based on power level, and not just up the required level with every expansion.
I'm just a filthy casual solo blueberry scrub, and sometimes I don't think before I type. I apologize, this game sucks.

They never did this for the Raids though. You didn't need The Dark Below to do Heroic VoG.
-
All of this is true, and it also caused a flood of complaints about previous Raids becoming useless, the best solution is to offer various levels of Raid with appropriate power level adjustment. The highest level content would still not be available to anyone who doesn't have the higher power level.
-
That would be nice. They don't even really have to do that since all of the gear can just be infused up to current power levels anyway.
-
But if you stay in vanilla 305 is your max, so they would need to scale the Raid in let's say, 280, 310, 325, etc. And just make it selectable. Everyone wins. But they won't do this because it requires a bunch of extra work. Same reason we don't have selectable Crucible.
-
With the infusion system, a raid never becomes useless
-
It does when there is no challenge
-
That's a matter of fun, not usefulness
-
This isn't remotely how expansions normally work and I've played most of the AAA MMOs released in the last decade through their first expansion (if they had one).
-
Weird...i don't remember content being paygated when DLCs were released for Borderlands or Diablo.
-
Funny I didn’t know that Destiny was Borderlands or Diablo.
-
"Why does everyone act like this is not the normal way expansions work?" I'm not the one who began the comparisons. Keep blindly following bungie though. It looks good on you. You've got a little something on your chin.

Editado por joey big guns: 12/8/2017 2:21:03 PMYeah? let me lick it up. Sorry that I find something enjoyable that you don’t. Funny how you “get stuff on you chin” if things work out like that. Children have such a funny way with words. Better to ha e a little on my chin than the apparent stick up your ass that you acquired.
-
I didn't say I didn't enjoy it. I actually have had a good time with this dlc. I will not give bungie a pass on this bs practice of removing content though and anyone that does is absolutely ridiculous. You come in with a stupid, sarcastic comment that shows ignorance to the fact that I didn't even bring up comparisons while blindly defending bungie. I'm not quite sure what you expected.
-
Funny enough, I remember in dark souls 2 you could play the dlc without having bought the dlc! From were nice people and let you piggyback off a buddy who did have it by being their phantom!
-
But apparently we have it wrong and imagined it. Locking you out of content is how it's always worked. Who knew?
-
For some reason, they forgot how flawed D1 was. Now, to them, it is the greatest video game ever.

It's not the puppies' fault this place is full of dimwitted mouthbreathers.
