I never cared about lady Eververse lol.
But I did cry when they fired Marty. Still working on cutting emotional ties going back a decade and a half with the studio.

So, you spent 5000 hours playing Bungie games, which tells me you enjoyed those games or you are into some weird shit.. Bungie provided you with over 6 months of fun and you ditch them based on some circumstantial evidence and a post on Reddit.
How much should 1/2 a year of fun cost? 100, 200, 300, 10000 or is it priceless?
Now, how much does it costs to go to a cinema? 10 or 12 bucks per movie that might be 2 hours long. It would get very costly to get anywhere near 5000 hours.
The above does not mean anyone should accept microtransactions, loot boxes or sloppy jobs with new games from a developer. It just feels that lot of people just rage over little things. If you do not like the game Bungie made, do not play it. Do not buy DLC if you already bought the main game. Certainly do not purchase any in-game items with real-life money.

Uh, 5000 hours in a combined total from Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Reach, Halo ODST, Destiny, and Destiny 2. That's over a decade of video games. . .of course I have over 5000 hours. I enjoyed their work in the Halo series.
I did not ditch Bungie because of this post specifically. I'm ditching Bungie because of all the crap that has led up to this point. This was just the nail in the coffin. You wanna know why? Because this proves to me that Bungie is fine with the current direction of the game. Bungie clearly wants to keep integrating microtransactions for the rest of the franchise. I don't like that. I think it is bullcrap. It's all led up to this. Broken promises. Lies. Deception. Greed. Incompetency.
Also, 1/2 a year of fun? Destiny 2 as a base game took me 3 weeks to complete. The DLC is taking people 2 hours. It hasn't even been half a year. And fun? What part of the game is fun? Crappy, boring, slow PvP? Repetitive, boring, lazy PvE? This game is not fun. It is a chore, with zero reward. Everyone else seems to realize that and is fleeing.
And your cost argument is also bullcrap. Comparing entertainment like movies to video games is stupid. There are other games on the market for $60, and even less than $60 that offer hundreds of hours of actually good content. Destiny 2 is nothing special.
So go on, keep defending Bungie. Keep defending their awful game design. Keep defending their greedy actions. Keep defending their lying.
It's people that defend this game tooth and nail that are ruining the franchise. You are the problem. You are why the game is in the state it is in.
