I'm willing to have an honest open discussion about why or why not abortion should be legal and in what context as well.
Let me explain my viewpoint. I believe that abortion should only be legal if it's probable beyond reasonable doubt that the baby would kill the mother sometime during the birthing cycle.
I will not respond to comments that name call or use derogatory language.
Edit: I'm being overwhelmed with responses so don't think just because I don't respond I don't know how to answer.
Edit 2: Love it how my 2nd amendment post is 3rd on trending with only 7 replies yet this one is nowhere to be seen 🤔

abortion isn't something that can be covered with a blanket rule each case is different I've dealt with abortion in my life and can tell you from my personal experience that it is something you never get over. anyone seeking abortion should seek professional advice first, DO NOT USE GOOGLE for advice...

3 RespuestasPeople who are inclined to murder their children should be free to do so. They're removing themselves from the gene pool and will by default have fewer children than they otherwise would have. In 200 years there won't be any pro-choice people left because they'll have infanticided themselves out of existence.

Those things lower abortion rates. But they don't. They just want to punish women for having sex.

6 RespuestasI'm pro-choice because I try to stay consistent with my beliefs. I do believe that abortion in almost any capacity is eliminating a life but I'm OK with that so long as it is necessary. I'm OK with going to war. I'm OK with the death penalty. I'm OK with self-defense.

17 RespuestasAbortion should always be legal at least until the third trimester, whether it’s being used as birth control or otherwise. Criminalizing abortion’s has never stopped them, it only makes them more dangerous because they have to happen illegally. Legalizing abortions allows for them to happen safely. Furthermore, no federal money is allowed to go toward abortions so you’re never paying for them. It’s also important to note that the vast majority of the time abortions occur, the fetus is the size of a raspberry. It has no sentience at all. The world should also take all step to minimize abortions while keeping them legal. Promote tons of sex education and provide free access to birth control in various clinics/schools. Both of those have statistically been shown to decrease unwanted pregnancies. The only thing criminalizing abortions does is endanger the pregnant women who will still seek them. It’s the woman’s body. She should have the right to choose what it goes through.

Editado por Cultmeister: 1/3/2018 1:57:26 PMIn an ideal world abortion wouldn’t be necessary. From my experience people who are pro-life generally think the world ‘can be’ ideal so long as people act differently to the way they currently act. The problem I have is that when it comes to sex, I don’t think people will act differently so this ideal world isn’t possible. Yes it would be fantastic if people thought about the consequences of their actions, but people don’t, and they won’t start just because you force them to have a child that they don’t want. That’s the reason people end up having 4/5 kids by their mid 20s, whom they love very much but probably wouldn’t have had if they could do it again; because they’re the kinds of people who just don’t think before they act. Yes it is ‘their fault’ but it is also becoming a public issue because these people tend to be poorer and so they are a larger drain on the government. You can’t say both ‘poor people should be having more children’ and ‘the government is not going to help the poor pay for those children’ because that is just punishing people - specifically women but the fathers too - for having sex, which is wrong. So morally speaking from my point of view, either you’re willing to pay large sums of money for people to have more children (which in turn means a higher population and all the costs that implies, because protection isn’t 100% effective so there WILL be more children around), or you provide a way for people to reliably not have children they don’t want (abortion) along with a disincentive like saying the government will only give support for x number of children.

10 RespuestasI agree abortion is murder, however think logically. The only way to truly stop all abortion would to be not only threaten to cage individuals involved in it but to tie down every pregnant woman til she gives birth

2 RespuestasMy only comment would be if you are pro life, do you care about the well being of the baby and family after the child is born, or are you just pro-birth? I’m not meaning this as an insult but the pro-life political movement doesn’t care about the baby’s well being and also seem against programs that help. They also tend to be for military involvement, stand your ground laws, not concerned with police brutality/murder - which doesn’t seem very pro-life to me. The having the baby seems to be the only thing of importance and has been said in many comments before, just to be punishing women for having sex. Sorry about generalizing as each person has their own beliefs, but this is what I see.

9 RespuestasDuring the first trimester the fetus does not meet the criteria for life and therefore is not alive during this time period I find it acceptable to have an abortion. After the period it is only acceptable if the birth would kill the mother. I do believe that we should put money into preventing the need for abortions. Personally I find the practice disgusting but I am not anyone’s master and it’s not my place to tell someone what they can and can’t do.

Editado por Stallcall: 12/29/2017 8:40:14 PMThe pro-choice crowd has me mostly nodding my head in agreement until they get to the part where they say, "And provide free contraception/birth control/healthcare/anything-else-I-want-for-free." Yeah, my main critique against the pro-life crowd is that they rely wholly on the state to use force in order to prevent abortions, while (in my experience) shying away from the idea that they personally would ever use violence to prevent an abortion. That's just a petty form of authoritarianism, in my opinion. So the pro-choice crowd gets my begrudging tolerance... However... As soon as you whip out the, "Give out X for free," line, you've just resorted to the same line of thinking that turns me away from the pro-life crowd. You're going to confiscate my property in order to fund something that I well and truly want nothing to do with? No, not even that. You just want the state to do it on your behalf. Right there is where a number of pro-choice simpletons turn me away.

I just don’t really care about what other people do anymore, so I don’t care if it’s legal or not, cause people will always do what they want anyway.

8 RespuestasMy opinion... abort any baby if the woman carrying it wants to.

8 RespuestasLife is a death sentence, its just a matter of how much and how long you suffer, condemning an unwanted child to life, is a greater sin, IMO... I'm not trying to be all dark, I don't think life is all about suffering, there are good times, but unwanted children suffer far more in this world...
