Before destiny 2 came out. The player base was around 190,000 daily players.
The shiny turd that is destiny 2 won't make it in the new year. With Red Dead Redemption 2, Anthem, Fortnite, PUBG and other much better, much more rewarding and challenging games coming out.
Destiny and bungie will be sitting on a dust pile this time next year.
Bungie killed destiny.
After three years of their bullshit, terrible business practices and terribly made game.
They should shut off their pc's and go work at a car wash. Cause I'd hate to see more people support such garbage that sparkles.

Pretty sure D1 was around the 300k daily right up until D2 launched. . Wouldn’t surprise me if it was still around that, with lots of players returning and lots of new players as well, last time I was on D1 a couple of weeks back the tower was bustling with low level newbies. .

we haven't even got a demo for anthem and it's another 3rd person fps looter shooter huh kinda reminds me of another game which was supposed to be "the destiny killer"

Well I played Fortnite and it is not destiny rather boring imho I get people like that game and pubg is really broken Can't play anthem in January Red dead single player so again not a destiny game more like fallout / witcher / assasins creed again all great games but single player Warframe is on the list but that will take time

It's not games like destiny. It's just new games for players to play. A lot of these newer games will take over the destiny fan base and if they have good grind/material ect ect. There goes a destiny fan boy. I love fortnite. I been playing it daily. Have you won a match? The game gets intense and the weapons feel great. Also the developer's are awesome that talk about their game weekly as well as releasing content/patches weekly. For a pvp type shooter. This one is the most fun to me, being a huge fan boy of destiny 1 pvp. It filled that void D2 created. Red dead isn't just a single player. It has pvp in it as well. Not sure what the new one will be like. But the old one was kind of fun and it had other activities to do with your friends that was fun. I recently started playing warframe again. I'm really liking this game a lot. I wish I would of stuck with it from the release. But I was playing a lot of destiny 1 and mostly just that. For PVE content, warframe fills the D2 void and Fortnite fills the pvp. I don't see playing destiny at all anymore or even supporting bungie at all. I was once a huge bungie/destiny fanboy with something like 6K hours in destiny1.. Bungie -blam!-ed up big time on this release and I don't see their hardcore fan base sticking around.

I don't like fortnite Pvp is great but sometimes I just want to shoot shit with my buddy's Going to figure out warframe !!!!! Dude i have a copy of myst which Bungo did BEFORE halo Hated it Loved halo

If you just want to hang out with your buddy's and shoot shit (same for me) Warframe is the jam to play! It's a button masher. One cool thing about it that is unique compared to other games. The leveling system for weapons and armor is awesome! But there is codex files for weapons that unlock combo's. They remind me of MK combo system. Your avatar also has 4 different super abilities. There is so much content in that game now, it will take awhile to catch up to day one players. Also It seems like they have a xur like vendor that shows up on the weekends. A ship arrives and has 3 vendors inside of a massive social space.

That's for destiny2. I'm saying the regular D1 players. That still played the game leading up to D2. It was at about 190,000 daily players. D2 spiked at something like 7 million players (from all platforms).. There are currently 500K players, playing daily right now. But again, all platforms, all releases.

Add warframe onto that list, it's the looter shooter with [b]actual[/b] rpg elements and weapons and stuff like that.

The last stat I seen before the release of destiny 2 was 191,600 and something. Then it spiked to 3.2 million when D2 dropped. Then swan dived. Now it has 7.3 million users. With 500 K playing on a daily basis. But that includes D1 and D2 users on all platforms.

For some reason I thought it was 300k before D2 took off. Oh well. I can't find my screenshot of it. Regardless D2 still sucks. Lol
