The people still playing will defend it probably.

They may have taken the throttle off but they doubled the required xp so we are no better off, bungie must think we are stupid.

Mathematically, we are better off. But that's not the point. They jus got caught doing something that casts doubt on their practices.

It's also the waste of Fireteam Medallions.

In crucible we’re worse off because we’ll get basically no xp now, but when it comes to farming public events, we’re much better off. The xp was scaling down as far as 5% of what you were supposedly earning being actually awarded to you. So I think 5% of 3k per event to reach 80k is a much slower method than 100% of 3k to get to 160k.

No that’s what it used to be, in crucible and raid activities the xp scaled up the longer you played, but in world activities (public events, lost sectors, adventures, etc.) it scaled down the longer you played.
