It's called "having fun", but it's quite obvious that every addicted junkie in here just can't do that without getting enough of a fix from getting loot.

Yup hit the nail on the head. These snowflakes think games are work now. They wanna get paid. Forget the point of a -blam!-in video game is fun not loot.

What loot lol, there is no loot worth grinding for
What loot lol, there is no loot worth grinding for
Uhh the raid armor and weapons, trials armor and weapons, iron banner armor and weapons, faction armor and weapons, all the exotics, better devils...

Heres a weapon worth grinding for: Zariana d with fitted stock, braced frame, and high caliber rounds
-
Ehhh... Some of those were worth, but in the end at least half were subpar, and all very easy to acquire. You technically don't even have to participate anymore, if your clan does (for weekly trials and raid drops).

anddd the circle starts again...

Because 4vs4 with high TTK and low recharge rates, using nothing but auto rifles and scouts... that’s more fun than D1?

Sometimes it is not so much an addiction to getting loot but a desire to complete all that is available. Some guys hit Destiny 2 really hard and played it to death and then realised that there was nothing new to do. They chase that feeling and then it is gone. Think a lot were surprised how quickly this happened though. Playing games for fun and striving for achievement can also occur at the same time though. Not sure of your experience with raiding but a lot of time is invested in getting this right. At times fun turns to frustration and then the frustration is worth it when you get that awesome satisfaction of finally completing as a fire team. Rewards at end of game should also match this. I am bewildered by the decision to not make gear that aids in the raid as end game loot. No incentive to repeat the activity is definitely a problem right now and was an over sight in my opinion.

I've never understood the raid gear foR completing the raid to help complete the raid...that you just completed :|

What just the once? I play with guys who literally had 100s of raid completions in d1. We were big into changing up our gear for specific circumstances. Not saying that everyone had to be driven by this but we were. Even trying to get Tier 12 builds was a focus to give us something to do for a while. And yes we had lots of fun and laughter along the way. Op was talking about incentive to play - Activity specific gear was a big incentive for a lot of players. If you're not into it then you don't have to worry about it.

Exactly! It’s actually quite sad! Video games are about enjoying the mechanics and having fun, not incessantly grinding for loot and not really using it! It makes me wonder about some of these guys!
