If you didn't knew, EA got into major controversy over it's gambling pay to win progression system in Star Wars Battlefront II. News coverage covered ths scandel, and EA was forced to give in and disable ALL microtransactions in game.
Now, if only we could do something similar here for Destiny 2...
Edit: changed the title because people can't read AT ALL. I'm not talking about eververse

Yes well done EA , supposing they never used to listen to anyone haha
-
Just that little bit of feedback. Bungie will not do that because it is admitting to something. Only way this game will change is if we all leave.
-
Ye but that complaint was that the grind was too long. The general complaint in destiny is that the grind is too short.
-
All they had to do was remove loot boxes. Bungies has A LOT more stuff they need to fix

6 RespuestasAt the end of the day-It's all about the profit. N with that-comes pushing the boundaries farther n farther, to see what they can actually get away with. I'm glad EA pushed as far as they did-cus it created an outcry on a subject that has been getting a lot of traction recently. The loot box. I'm fine with loot boxes-as long as those loot boxes have absolutely no impact on gameplay. Destiny is fine at the moment-cus it's all just cosmetic gear-though there was a brief moment it hinted at "pay to win" with rare mods dropping in Bright engrams-but as we started to understand the mod system and hit level 20-this was soon made redundant. Hopefully bungie will retain a little self respect n keep destiny as a purely cosmetic only loot box system, cus I'm perfectly happy to throw a bit of money at the screen when events drop (loved the blue flaming skull) but the moment the system gets a bit shady-I stop paying.

22 RespuestasThe reason D2 is so shit is because they listened to the crybabies so much. All of you cried nerf on every single good weapon we had, so they ended up making a game where everything is "balanced" and nothing stands out. Hooray, equality!
-
I could read...but if I only know. (Hint edit again, instead of knew use know) Also, I hope Luke, the dev teams, and Activision keep pissing y'all off.
-
With regards to battle front, the only way the outcry would have accomplished anything is if people still don't buy the game regardless of any changes they make. The sad truth is Battle Front 2 will have to fail regardless of if it's good or not for anything to even remotely change in the future.
-
Too bad they’re only suspending micro transactions temporarily.
-
Editado por YaraUwU: 11/18/2017 5:12:31 AM"The ability to purchase crystals in-game will become available at a later date" Please don't fall for this shit they are only doing it to make you think they care. And there literally adding it back in later.
-
Jeez micro transactions aren't even a problem in this game. The game is just shit. Simple
-
You haven't updated your post saying it's only temporary yet. This is just dmg control for the moment until everyone buys the game and the negative press ends. Then they will be back in full force, you can bet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPhRDN8T9_M&

Difference is that the outcry leveraged Disney's image to parents and how Disney might be taking advantage of their kids. Now given that Disney takes their image very seriously you know EA is going to have to budge. Even then EA has barely done anything lets not forget that. They deliberately stated that they would be putting things back in the game at a later date. In other words they are waiting for the controversy to blow over, and letting the movie have its run before letting things go again. Don't let them get away with this. Anyway it's a pretty big difference in the situation. What has destiny 2 done, not agreed with you? Have fun with that one.
-
Thanks for posting this but it isn't going to help fix D2 at all. D2 is a turd plain & simple.
-
We just have to give Bungie the boot. No more money for them. They only understand volume of sales. Nearly everything Activision and EA get into their greasy claws becomes putrid shit.
-
1 RespuestaThe one element some of the posters are forgetting is that the dynamics of the microtransactions were changed significantly, how some players are refusing to buy the game as well as the negative publicity surrounding it. Some contend that Disney may have had a hand in shaping EA's response but it was essentially a response to the community that resulted in such a response. Bungie is in a completely different boat as EA but the core argument of how the playerbase can illicit change still resonates and is fully applicable. If Osiris fails as a DLC I can easily see changes in the management of Bungie as a project.
-
Lol you are nuts if think they will keep it out...
-
6 RespuestasWhy does everyone hate on d2 so much?
-
Well Disney may have something to do with them removing microtransactions.
-
I'm glad you used the word "outcry." Emphasis on the cry.

Stopped reading at “if you didn’t knew”
cos, grammar
36 RespuestasD2 is a good game. It has its flaws but there is nothing ground breaking just relax
-
We can Stop preordering this trash and stop buying season passes. Then wait and see the game is shit .... wait for it .... don't -blam!-ing buy it.
-
Lol they are going to add back micro transactions right after Christmas. They would have gotten the brunt of the money they could get
-
Im pretty sure it was because this investigation https://youtu.be/TnEArH_UA3U but hey, if the fans feel empowered thats fine whit me.
