Bungie Supports Weapon Variety in TWAB
Sandbox designer Jon Weisnewski says and I quote:

Bungie is saying that are more options than just MIDA that are better than the MIDA. Go out and find one! I personally love my Deadly Nightshade, as it has explosive rounds.

I found an auto rifle I out duel scouts aka mida. I have more trouble close range than I do from medium to long. I really have no problem with people using mida. Maybe I suck and I don't notice it, but I rarely die from mida.

2 RespuestasI agree plenty of weapons are good alternatives to mida, but why has nobody brought up the fact that they said "Many players are still gathering weapons for their arsenal and we have a handful of guns that haven’t even hit the game yet." Only a handful? That better just be a quick way of saying a ton of other guns and not them letting us know not to expect much more in the way of "new" guns..

The Raid Scout fares pretty damn well against MIDA...

10 RespuestasProblem is, bungie needs to fix kinetic legendary mods that drop. I have received only one gun so far that has one. So I for one waited to do quest for mida so it would drop at 305. I prefer other guns, but the limitations on the drops require me to use it.

What I took from the quote is that they said mida is not the most used in all activities "All activities" That means pve too. And to Bungie: no shit, no one uses it for pve cause there are better options, but everyone is talking about pvp.

4 RespuestasNothing wrong with a popular weapon. Guarantee there's probably as many death as kills using the mida. It's like saying the battle rifle in halo was op. Plenty of weapons if not all of them could stop them, but with great skill it became a great weapon. I'd have to say the "skill" involved with the mida is minimal. It feels like I can just shoot randomly around someone and it hurts them every time.

Big tip for winning against the MIDA, don't stand as still as a mannequin while in a gun fight.

19 Respuestas"supports weapon variety" let's just leave everything else that CANT counter mida in the garbage. For example: handcannons, any 180 rpm scout rifle, most pulse rifles, and the 720 rpm autos...yay variety!

There are close options but nothing outright beats the mida multi tool at mid+ ranges.
