*** Strikes are pointless ***
After a short day or two strikes become pointless. It's rare to see a legendary which is always the same power level as a blue. Exotics are pretty much non-existent. In the time it takes to run one strike you can run 3-4 public events which in turn makes the odds better for said legendaries and the elusive exotic.
After a week of play, strikes are boring and public events have as well.

2 RespuestasYou know if you didn't rush threw the strikes and take your time you have more of a chance to get a legend drop from an enemy. I piss my friend off so much when a legend drops for me while I'm doing a strike or normal killing something on a planet then getting it out of a chest. I'm other words change your habits.

2 RespuestasTrue, it also don't help having to run or ride our sparrow for long time before you actually interact with anything. They are to short when it comes to fighting the boss, and to long because you have to run through a bunch of scenery before any action happens.

1 RespuestaI think strikes will become more useful once we have the factions back next week. Strikes will probably be the easiest way to get large amounts of faction rep. Or coins, or whatever the hell it's going to be.

I think that D2 strikes are a ton of fun. If you want loot, stick to the public events. I play strikes because I think they're a really beautiful part of the game. The bosses have semi mechanics now, and the scenery is pretty amazing (especially the vex strike). The grind isn't always going to be fun. The game was built for casuals, so the only place that really isn't going to get boring quickly is the raid. Strikes are just kind of a fun warmup.

3 RespuestasEverything in the game is pointless. All these sweaty salty people.... Play it until you don't enjoy it. Complain. Hope it gets better. Play something else in the meantime. Come back to it. Catch up. Whatever, I'm not going to tell anyone how to play the game or what to do with their time. We've all been through this cycle with myriad games. I'm always surprised when it appears others are surprised that they're bored with a game or an aspect of a game. FWIW (not much, I know), I'm still playing over a cellular connection because we're recovering from Irma and still don't have Internet. At least we have power back after three days, so I'm still discovering parts of the game. Haven't even been able to touch Crucible, yet, so I can't feel your pain, but I'm sure I will. Good luck and much light, Guardians.

Strikes are pointless vs. other methods of farming. I actually like the strikes. All of them. They are a step up from D1. It's a shame they aren't showcased more.

2 RespuestasIt's crazy how much they have streamlined that content. Wow. Everything is sooo simple! You can't even replay story missons. (Not counting Ikora's missons beacuse you don't get to pick which one you want) Story was super easy. D1's "story" took me 3 months to complete lul. That happens when you have never played a FPS before and had no friends.

Tbh the thing that is -blam!-ing this game is the lockouts. Being unable to progress after your milestones each week and having to cheese the game via alts to get around this wall is a joke.. a simple fix? Making luminous engrams something that can drop.. even as rare or rarer than exotics. Legendary gear rolling higher than blues would help too. There needs to be a chance regardless of how small to progress your power in ANY activity. As of now the loot and pointlessness of every activity available is worse than d1. I mean other than public events and praying for exotics... There is no progress after your milestones are complete. The raid is ass. Worst raid yet. Puzzles and one boss for rep tokens? Are you -blam!-ing kidding me. Adventures don't get touched after level cap. Strikes have lower reward chances than public events. Pvp rewards are slow and bad. I don't know wtf bungie is thinking.

Strikes are fun. However I have to agree the loot sucks! Also I agree what is with legendaries dropping same as blues. I mean why not at least have them equipped with a legendary mod or something useful? Public Events best for loot and rep. I was on Nessus yesterday and it was a ghost town. What is up with that?

Agree. They really ruined a lot of the game with the reward system. I know they want to make it a little more difficult to level but what they have going on now is absolutely garbage. Strikes - waste of time Crucible - waste of time Adventures - waste of time Patrol missions - waste of time Non heroic publics - waste of time Well shit that leaves basically heroic publics and the raid So sad they can't just reward us and instead need to force us to play a lot and the way they want us too

I mostly play Strikes and I got about 10 legendary s and 2-3 exotics every time I play strikes for a day. At first I thought it was me being lucky but after a couple days of it its not luck its just very easy if you play over and over quickly and always get the public events in the way of the strikes.

48 RespuestasTo be fair, strikes shouldn't even reward exotic drops IMO. The purpose of a strike is to bridge the gap between finishing the campaign and reaching the endgame phase of the game where you should be doing 3x raids and 3x nightfalls each week. It should reward decent, but not GREAT stuff, and it should generally be seen as a place you can farm infusion fuel. Exotics should be rare like they were in Y1, but they should also be A LOT more powerful, like they were in Y1. The game was a lot more fun back then when it was like that.

That is one of the things I don't get. Purples are the same power as blues. I can get blues much quicker in lost sectors and earn tokens for a purple. Although, purples may as well be blues to me at this point.
