The time for dedicated servers is NOW
I know there has been many a post on this matter but I just have to weigh in. The connection problems in Destiny 2 are rampant, almost every other Crucible match SOMEONE gets disconnected. Also, judging by how often i drop into matches in progress it happens more times than i see. Stand up to Activison, Bungie! Tell them the game needs dedicated servers. Every other big shooter has dedicated servers today; Overwatch, Halo 5, Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, they ALL HAVE dedicated servers and none of them have the rampant connection problems that Destiny had, or that Destiny 2 continues to have. Enough is enough. Tell Activision they need to stop being cheapskates and just buy the dedicated servers already.

The best option is for the community to let PvP side of this game die so it will stop ruining the rest of the game. Or stop taking it seriously since Bungie does not seem to take it seriously by using outdated technology behind it.

3 RespuestasThe hybrid system is more stable actually. They did a vlog about it. The games been out 6 days they need to tweak and toon for the amount of traffic. A lot of issues are platform based anyway, ps4 crashes and Xbox network stalls are most likely system side. Give it a few weeks for the bugs to get worked out. Big online games don't come out the box mint they take refining and tweaking as the community grows.

1 RespuestaBungie can't tell Activision to do anything. Activision owns Bungie along with them owning Blizzard. Overwatch doesn't have that dedicated of servers. Its not always a server issue. Sometime lag spikes happen which they just happen you cant stop lag spikes.

Destiny is an mmo its mean this game must have a lot of active players to make any sense so if a lot of ppl have connection problems this is problem for every one even those without any lags and dc's becouse population of game will fall tehen activision lost money and then they just cut down form this failure investing somewhere else, perhaps they order blizzard to make anotherm mmo but for console, and then you igonrat with cable connection form center of london will understand that it was your problem as well. If you like destiny and you want this game to become great ( damn i sound like donald trump with all respect for him :P, but nvm...), you want to see it on twitch, just go to forum and spam That this game need server, other wise it will die like for honor. sorry for my english

25 RespuestasNever been disconnected yet. I've played a lot. Nobody on my fireteam either. No lag in crucible. There have been some contacting server messages in the tower but that has been it. Dedicated servers will not work. There are many of us that play with friends worldwide.

Dedicated servers will not resolve most problems. It still up to the user to fix their end.
