Error Code CE-34878-0 (Software problem)

Thousands players getting error code CE-34787-0 while trying to play Destiny 2. It is unplayable 1 week after release for thousands of players. When comes an Fix/Update? You know about this error for 2 months since beta. How long will it take? Another 2 months? We need some information!   • Lots of fly-to-tower crashes here, too (PS4pro, HDCP disabled, database rebuild). About 50% chance that it happens, very annoying. In addition, sometimes I have infinite flying to the social space and/or can't see anything in my menus and screens. Approaching other destinations (the planets) works without any problems at all. Strikes, patrol, crucible, raid... all OK, no crash at all.

    The game still crashes, even after the update. Can we have some feedback about the status of the fix? Otherwise I'll buy an old used ps4 on ebay. Edit: Just some other stuff about the crashes. I almost always get a crash soon after I arrive in the EDZ or as soon as I participate in a public event. But it very rarely crashes in the tower and only crashed once in pvp. It also only crashed once in a strike. Crashes a lot while free roaming on other planets as well, but I haven't tested them as much as the EDZ. I don't have any problems at all when I use the ps4 pro from my roommate on my monitor. I'm using a ps4 pro with OS version 5.0 beta 5. The crashes also occurred in the destiny beta on a stable ps4 os release.

      I honestly don't think they will be able to fix this ...i'm going to try repair next week if we haven't heard anything. I still have my original ps4... but Im not going to play it on that anymore.

      • Well I tried everything , [b]from rebuilding the database, initializing my ps4 pro , port forwarding my ps4 pro & destiny 2 through my router settings and disabling UpnP, disabling HDCP, boost mode , going to a lower resolution of 720p etc[/b] .... nothing worked ....and I'm frankly out of ideas. I'm constantly crashing with this error every 3 mins when in go into the [b]European dead zone[/b] . It seems to be working fine when I'm in the Farm though. I also encountered this same crash in the [b]rise of the tomb raider demo[/b]. But every other game / application up till now worked perfectly. Horizon , persona 5, last of us , uncharted 4, bloodborne to name a few , worked absolutely fine with no issues. [b]@Bungie & Sony please fix this issue asap[/b] . I still believe its a software issue which can be fixed. I bought my pro this may and it gave me perfect service till now. I bought a retail box edition of destiny 2 from amazon hence its hard for me to get a refund . Should have just waited and bought the PC version in October, at least there you can fix most issues or find a workaround by yourself .

          • I bought another PS4 Pro to check if it's a hardware problem, and the game works perfectly. I can understand how a software error could affect only a little amount of PS4 Pro. Now I will speak with Sony if I can exchange my PS4 Pro with my new one.

            • I'm pretty sure what is going here is faulty hardware only exemplified by Bungie's horribly optimized software. That's probably the reason we are getting no communication, because Sony is trying to figure out once this gets revealed how to take the volume of returned consoles for repair (because all Pros are under the 1 year warranty). Bungie on the other is too arrogant to admit that they didn't QA this properly. I imagine there is a lot of finger pointing back and forth while we are left in the lurch speculating. One thing for certain is Bungie has the worst customer service I have ever seen.

                Shame on Bungie! Hello Games and Epic Game were faster with updates and fixes after release. They released updates DAILY although their Game was playable! Destiny 2: 2 months gone but the Game is still BROKEN.

                This is absolutely ridiculous. I really do not believe you should have to return a console that has worked for every single other game bar Destiny 2. I saw people recommended trying the 4k Rise of the Tomb Raider demo to exhibit the same crash and that works perfectly fine. I have also disabled HDCP/Boost Mode/4K to no avail. I've owned the game for nearly 6 days now and have yet to play beyond the first 3 minutes. I'm now playing Destiny 1 until the issue is fixed, however this lack of communication from Bungie as to what the issue is (software/hardware/networking) is concerning. I am not returning my PS4 for one game to work. Bungie needs to make the game work on the God damn console it's releasing to. I have a gaming PC and would not return the parts for that if a game didn't work!

              • I'm sure it's an hardware problem your best bet is to send your pro in for repair or keep exchanging it until you get a good one . Went through the Sony tech support twice never once do they suggest it's the game. They are quick to recommend sending in your pro for repair. They need to recall the PS4 pro. What's sucks is that I'll have to wait weeks to play the game by then all my friends will be way ahead of me and I'll always be playing catch up

                  Did anyone tried out my idea with the NAT problem? I sended my Pro already in, but this might help (and would make sense). The split second error message I got (after receiving the CE34878-0) message was "you´re using a NAT 3 configuration causing the game to crash, please reconfigure your settings". Well I do actually have a NAT 2 so the game got wrong information. (In my amateur understanding this is like: Destiny tells the console I have NAT 3 and can´t play and the console responds "no you´re wrong you can - better I crash" Well as this occurs mostly when first time in the MP Part during the first mission it could be that this is causing the mess. A friend of mine who is more technical than I am, said it might help to reroute the PS4 in the network (router settings) in a secure area (or so) without getting through the firewall first. Destiny 1 also got massive NAT problems causing trouble.

                  • A $60-450 load screen isn't worth it. Seek compensation for this. I'm getting these errors too and I'm pretty much over it now.

                    • Alright guys - I am 1 of the thousands who keep crashing every 3 mins - I'm not sure if this works for you but I was using the LAN cable for the Network - I've just tried it on WI-FI and I have not crashed once - I really hope this works for you cos I really do understand your anger and frustration - Good Luck

                      • Sony is refunding your purchase. (Is your game digital) Ask for a refund and buy the game when they fix this...However, I do not recommend to buy any product from them again.

                        • tried everything ... reinstall the software, reinstall the game, change the resolution of 4k to 1080p, change the language. nothing helps. the rest of the games work fine. Specially bought PS4 Pro and TV 4k in anticipation of the game. Bunge, as you just do it? How long to wait for the patch?
