Long time destiny1 player coming back for round 2 in D2. Love the game and have already played 15 hours. My only complaint is this wack shader system. Other than that. Good job bungie.
Edit- sorry if the poll looks a little bias. I don't really post on here much and I didn't know there was a third option lol, oh well.
Update- really my only issue that the shaders are that they get dismantled every time you want to switch around. Kinda takes the collectibility away that I felt in D1.

Bring back old shader system . With the option too have a shader for each piece of armor. So you can go the "shader booth" and get the shader you've deleted by mistake or get 1 shader for a piece of gear ALSO they should allow you to make your own shader colors for a certain amount of glimmer.kti
-
Keep the option to customize each gear piece though.
-
I would prefer the shaders be an unlimited use like D1, but still be able to shade a single item. As of now Im just opting out of trying to shade my gear.
-
Editado por xSerre119x: 9/12/2017 6:09:34 AMYes absolutely. Not only is the shader system rediculous, but I must have 50 different shaders by now and they all look like trash? What's that about? Would like to also add that even if you find one that you like you may not be so inclined to use it because now it's used up on gear you may not have for any length of time. So you're basically playing the entire game without a shader. Bungie change this back.
-
I actually really like the new shader system. I have to consider my options when changing a colour and it gives my favourites more value. I need to decide what is actually worthy of my shader and what doesn't need it. In D1 I never changed my shader because it didn't matter if I did or not.
-
The that I have to pay glimmer and farm for the shader is dumb.Like I mean what if I find a set of armour I like from iron banner or trails and I don't have a shader to acomadate that I have to go out and farm for that shader until I get it or alternately I pay money for silver dust to have chance at acquiring 6 of the same shader they should have unlimited use.
-
Old system was significantly better.
-
Deal with it...
-
Petitions hardly ever work Also, this shader system is fine. It's just annoying that for whatever reason, Bungie can't make a simple mother-blam!-ing black and red shader!
-
After playing it for a while,I'm good with it. I have a crap ton of shaders and I imagine before long we will all have all we want. I actually like this way better. I can mix and match. By the way,I haven't paid for any shaders. You get more than you need for free. My Warlock is fabulous after only about 15 hours played.

2 RespuestasOk, I might get flamed for this, but I think this system is actually an improvement from the old one. There were times in D1 when I liked the way a shader would look on my hunter's armor, but not the cloak. The color palette would mess with the design and it would look bad in my eyes. I would have to either find a new cloak, new armor, or a new shader to get a consistent good look going. NOW I can simply apply a new shader to each individual gear piece. Single use shaders are very common in MMOs, and aren't some new concept invented by Bungie. Btw I've seen people say it's a cash grab, I think that's not the case, seeing as I, and likely most people, are swimming in shaders atm and there are a million ways to obtain them. Buying them might've saved you some time, but that's a massive waste of money for getting cosmetic items that are so disposable. I will say, though, the problem isn't the new system, but rather a facet of the system, which is the consumable aspect of a shader works well in an MMO were transmog exists and gear isn't swapped so often, but in a game like destiny this is kinda a hassle. I think, though, it's only gonna be a hassle until people get high enough gear to the point were they have a consistent armor set to apply shaders to. For now, keep your ugly hodgepodge set of blue gear until you have a good set of legendary armor, then around 270-280 do your infusing and apply shaders. What could improve this system for the time being would be if they added shaders to the collection tab, that way if you had the glimmer to burn (which I'm sure many of us have do to the increased glimmer cap) you could buy the shaders you've discovered them.
-
I think that once you have a shader, you should be able to purchase more of that shader. Make an outpost or something for it.
-
I have 1 character to 266 and too many shaders to count...imagine 3 characters or after more hours, come on, it's not that bad
-
10 RespuestasPetition for these threads to stop and for people to stop pretending this system is bad
-
y'all can cry all you want, bungie's not changing the system.
-
I think this system is fine, 250 glimmer isn't much and endgame drops a lot of shaders
-
Editado por AquaBarrel38: 9/10/2017 8:17:02 PMThey should make it half and half, make it to where I can customize each piece individually but not have shaders be a one time thing like a consumable, when you go buy paint are you going to get paint for only one coat or get enough for several???
-
This system is going to make people scared to use shaders that are very rare.
-
I got more shaders than i know what to do with
-
While I do agree I don't like how you loose the shader when you change them or get new armor, I love being able to put a different shader on each piece.
-
3 RespuestasHonestly with how often you get bright engrams after 20 it's not that big a deal as far as the eververse shaders go. And you also get a bunch from other engrams too. I think we were a little quick to judge.
-
2 RespuestasWhy? What's wrong with the shaders? I like the new system lets me have different shaders for different parts of my gear
-
I don't have a problem with the current system. Glimmer needs something to use it on and the one time use thing isn't that big a deal. But to each their own.
-
Salty huh
-
Are you kidding the shader system is awesome you can hold many at once and the ones I have got are really nice. You can customize ship gun armor all the same if you want. You can beat that. Give it time you will find it way better
