Liberal logic: gun control edition
Inb4 somebody decides to respond to the point the video is trying to make (that criminals don't give a shit about gun laws) by complaining about the video being too literal or not realistic, rather than actually responding to the point.
I'm sure no criminal would ever:
Load more than 7 rounds in a 10 round magazine (new york)
Carry a gun where they aren't supposed to (gun free zone)
Get a hold of a magazine that holds too many rounds (after all, banning drugs stops criminals from getting drugs)

The illegal gun trade is almost entirely fueled by the legal access to firearms. A law is not only effective when it stops 100% of people from doing a certain thing. This argument has been laid to rest so many times that it's downright disturbing some people still haven't caught on. Your post is bad and, as usual, you should feel bad for making it.

If you have a mental illness (the ones which are considered dangerous) you shouldn't have a gun, for your own sake if you have something like depression or for others sake if you're just crazy. Plus if you're a member of a group of extreme ideology, Islamic traditionalist, antifa, Nàzis, Westbro Baptist Church, kkk, black panthers, ect... Things which people can take up arms for. Handguns should be carried in public, assault rifles and guns requiring two hands to hold are just unnecessary and intimidating. Instead those should be used in home defence, hunting if you live outside the city and for recreational use. Edit: those with a criminal record definitely don't get a gun, unless they truly had a change of heart.

1 RespuestaI have a dream that one day "gun nuts" will realize that waiting a few more weeks for comprehensive background checks isn't the same thing as the police confiscating all their guns. I also have a dream that "gun nuts" who are against the black lives matters campaign because they hate police officers will realize their hypocrisy when they say they'll shoot the police who are just doing their jobs in this slippery slope hypothetical. Civilian disarmament is impractical. More sophisticated background checks that prevent mass shootings are not.

The bigger concern with tightening the gun control laws is that it makes it both easier to track things like gunrunning, or backchannel markets, while making it a little safer for the general public. Things like mental health checks (because giving a person with delusions or impulse issues a lethal weapon is a TERRIBLE idea), or criminal record checks being expanded (so that a man who's been charged with, say, assault, cannot get a gun easily, even if he was unconvicted)

7 RespuestasI am a liberal, I have never once been afraid of losing my rights to own a gun. I own many weapons and will probably buy more. I am more afraid of the gun nuts than I am of someone breaking into my house.
