Your Chaperone quest is a joke unless you are really good at crucible you have no chance of getting it, win to loss percentages are all wrong you win one game it goes up 2% you lose and have a bad KD ratio you lose up to 10% in one game. How do you expect some of us to collect all in game loot when the odds are clearly stacked against you from the start. Sort this s**t out in destiny 2

All you have to do is don't have The Last Word loaded until just before the end of the match If loosing don't load The Last Word If winning load it up and just fire the gun at anything but don't get killed and you will slowly finish this stage of the bounty

Editado por NoStatsHereMate: 8/26/2017 8:01:44 AMFact: The chaperone is useless to you if you do not like PvP. You do not need it. Abandon the quest and forget it ever existed.
"But it's an exotic! And I'm collecting every exotic! Blah blah whinge!" Well that sounds like a 'you' issue. Not a 'game' issue. Find a new hobby.
So vex is another one of those? So if people don't like raids bungie should just give it to them?
-
Simple: If you aren't good enough, they don't expect you to complete the quest.
-
If I can do it then anyone can.
-
The chaperone is terrible in pve so why do you want it?
-
Why do you want a pvp precision based shotgun that is very poor in pve? Pretty sure shotguns don't crit in pve any more? It's a crit based, accuracy pvp weapon 😂
-
I was garbage at PVP when I did this quest. It was hard and frustrating but ultimately it helped me get better at pvp. I kept the gun equipped the whole game because I didn't even think about unequipping it and eventually I got better. I never used to like pvp but the chaperone quest was nowhere near as hard as the Year 1 Thorn quest. That was horribly difficult for me, especially on a titan.

1 RespuestaWhy shouldn't some exotics be geared towards a certain crowd? A quest that is supposed to show your proficiency with a certain weapon, used mainly in PvP, shouldn't involve PvP?
-
Kill +1 Death -2 Win match +3 Lose match -3 You literally don't need to kill anyone just equip it right before the match ends
-
1 RespuestaEquip TLW, pop super, get kills, unequip Equip the TLW when you are about to win a PvP match.

6 RespuestasEditado por Southern4x4: 8/26/2017 3:48:57 PMYear 1 Thorn quest with a hunter using a blue fusion rifle. No void primary. No void subclass. The reset for deaths was brutal. That was a struggle. Let's not forget... any strictly PvP player that wanted Thorn had to suffer through the strike at the end of the quest. Camping in the room waiting for that 3rd tomb ship to finally get there. If you did not complete this quest during this time and find yourself thinking "What's the big deal about completing a strike?", I guess you had to be there.
-
2 RespuestasI have always said for every quest line there should be two avenues to get the quest done. One for pvp players and one for pve player. I hate pvp took forever to get the thorn. I resent being forced into pvp when destiny is a pve game.
-
Consider changing your status
-
I suck at crucible and i have all the exotics that were crucible dependent. I can tell you how to get it if you want.
-
Editado por ProGaming_Turtle: 8/26/2017 9:45:01 PMIt sucks but can be done. I did it very early after release and I'm less than reputable for my crucible skill.
-
I did mine during iron banner. It is stupid that they tied that to pvp after Bungie promising not to force pvp on players when HOW came out.
-
Thorn and chaperone are easy compared to imprecation lol Not done finisged it yet or managed to get the Vex lol
-
Believe it or not, I completed the crucible part of the quest during Mayhem Clash. Equipped the Last Word, tossed grenades, used super (a lot), used a good sidearm and grabbed heavy as many times as possible since it spawns faster. Very few of my kills were with the Last Word. Pretty average crucible player like me did it, you can too.
-
Dude I did it and I suck at crucible if I can do it you can to
-
Whoever bungie got to design the quest must really hate the people that play destiny because only a sicko would come up with half of the crap they put into quests or maybe it pvp elitists that couldn't give a rats arse about anyone but themselves
-
1 RespuestaI don't have a chaperone for this very reason. I started to cheese it during SRL and realized "what's the point?" If i have to workaround to get this gun then i don't want it. I would feel dirty using it. Same as the strat of equiping TLW right before a match ends depending on if you are going to win or lose. That's ridiculous. Give credit for the win, don't deduct for a loss. Give incentive to keep playing. Not a punishment to discourage players.

2 RespuestasAbsolutely agree. It is a complete disrespect of player time investment. Even with a KD of 1.2 it would take a ridiculously long time. With a generous avg of 15 kills a game that is roughly 3 Rep gains per game. That is over 33 games to achieve. Oh and btw you get to use the last word "equipped" AND SBMM at its finest trying to make sure you have a 1.0kd / w/L. BS indeed. Thorn bounty in yr 1 was similar in that you lost points but this is even worse. So they changed it afterwards to the recent iteration where you don't lose points on deaths. How did this chaperone quest line make it past developers??? It is the single lost important thing that bungie has to demonstrate to me before I buy D2. Do they know how to show respect for my time investment in the game? As a professional with many life items to juggle, when I sit down to play it had better not only be a waste of my time but effective and rewarding. Hating pvp and having ALL progress lost on a quest like this one is a pinnacle of stupid design and artificially making the loot table desirable. It isn't desirable in this form at all and turns the remainder of players sour.
-
3 RespuestasIt will be even WORSE in D1.5, cause the WHOLE game is built around PvP
-
Editado por Eden: 8/26/2017 10:18:33 AMYou get more points for killstreaks, precision kills, and winning games. It's actually fairly easy to get points for the quest, all things considered. If you're not comfortable using TLW or playing well, go into a 6v6 mode, and then wait until you get a Super (preferably a roaming super like Storm or Hammers) or some Heavy Ammo. Equip TLW, and then use your Super or Heavy. Get some easy kills, and when you run out, take TLW off again. Make sure you have it equipped at the end of the game if you're about to win. Using TLW is harder but faster and the method above is slower but safer. I used TLW and got it done in about 45 minutes.
-
The quest difficulty depends on how you read, interpret and understand the wording of the quest. I got a 0.8 KD in crucible and in the top 3% for suicides. I still managed to get this crap exotic
