FFS! WE DONT HAVE 2 PRIMARIES!
We have a weapon dedicated for generally damaging enemies ( kinetic ) and a weapon generally suited for destroying shields and being a little more like a weapon from space ( energy weapon ).
D2 is NOT D1!
People see the weapon changes as having 2 primaries because we are used to D1 and are complaining that this change was stupid. Really though we got this change to be balanced to the enemies within D2. Having a sniper as a secondary constantly always distanced you from bosses and enemies and made gameplay stale. Having closeup weapons makes us have to get near enemies and actually use skill to takedown bosses rather than sniping a boss and waiting for teammates to respawn.
So PLEASE stop saying we have 2 primaries
The changes were made because we wanted gameplay to not be stale and repetitive - being distanced from a boss all the time

It's because Bungie/Luke Smith cares more about getting Destiny into eSports, and less about appealing to the non-competitive community, and I swear it's because of Overwatch, literally D2 feels like Overwatch, minus the ability to be the same type of class in the same game, supers charge even slower than Overwatch, gunfights are slow and take more to kill, assists now count as kills like in Overwatch. Bungie is building their game to appeal to the competitive community, and not the casuals, they ruined PVE by changing the weapon system, giving us 2 primaries, they slowed our super charge time, and I don't care if they make Power ammo have an 100% drop rate to compensate for no special, it's a stupid decision that was caused from 1# Luke Smith jealous that Overwatch got into eSports and Destiny didn't ( And it shows with PC D2 coming on Blizzard servers). 2# the PvP community whining for stupid changes, "Oh nerf this its too op, nerf that its too op" when it wasn't op, they just think it is, and its Bungies fault for listening to these people, and 3# Bungie doesn't even know how to test their game, they test it in a closed environment, how is that ok?? You won't know if a nerf or buff was enough or too much unless you test it in a public game, which is why I don't get why they didn't just make little tweaks, make these changes public, and see how it goes, instead of nerfing something to the ground ie: TLW or snipers, tweak them a little bit, if not enough then tweak a little bit more, if too much go back half, until it feels right, that's what every other company does, why is it so hard for Bungie to understand they can't just nerf the hell out of something, or buff something until its too strong and then not have another patch until months later, and again, they can't just nerf something because it's used by a lot of people, that's like Respawn nerfing Ronin in Titanfall 2 because there are a lot of people using him, or Infinity Ward and Treyarch nerfing assault rifles because their overused, its completely stupid that they think like that.
