Best FPS of all time?
I tried to think about FPS games that had a huge impact over the years and we're truly something special while also not including games like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark because they're dated. Sorry if I left out your favorite. I know there's a bias for Halo here. But I couldn't just leave it out. And I put these in here as a franchise all together.

half life hands down. it was the game that started so much. hobby-devs went ham modding the game. team fortress classic and counterstrike were found. to me half life is for fps what warcraft 3 is for rts. heck dota was a fun map for wc3 and now theres tournaments for millions of dollars!! halo mightve been important for bringing fps to controllers but it didnt 'stamp a whole gaming era'. atleast not as much as hl

Goldeneye Modern warfare 2 Unreal tournament Bit dated but for their time were amazing. Best modern day shooter is titanfall 2 by a very very big margin in my opinion.

Love doom and quake way back in the PC gaming days but halo changed gaming on console and that's all I've played since like 01

I'm going with Doom. It's not my favorite, but I can't deny the fact that it pioneered a lot of things that modern games still do to this day.
