Some of you just need...

to go play Warframe, apparently. That or realize that there is such thing as a game not being suited for ya. I understand having complaints. I understand wanting change. I even understand feeling as though, you, as a paying customer, should have your collective input considered for future fixes or DLC. What I don't understand is how some people can't grasp the fact that Bungie is going to make THEIR game. At the end of the day, they are making a product and selling the right to use that product to us, the consumers. Nowhere in the EULA does it say that they must listen to you. It does not say they must take your opinion into account. It DOES say they can change literally anything at any time without consent because, again, it is THEIR game. If the game, as presented, is so far from what you want, it's time to have this conversation with yourself. This game might not be for you and you are probably better off playing whatever game you're so adamantly trying to get Bungie to replicate. This is not to say stop criticizing. It's not. Plenty of people Lonestar, Carnival, Jstevensontown(you're going to think your post cause mine. I promise it's not directed at ya. lol), and plenty others all have perfectly valid criticisms towards the game. It has flaws. This isn't news to anybody but I just want to make it clear I'm not trying to silence anyone who has an issue with the game or that thinks it needs changing. That's not the point at all. TL;DR It's totally fine to have criticisms of a very imperfect product. It's okay to want that product changed in order for it to become something better. You just need to really evaluate whether you're wanting to improve the product or change what it is completely and some of you don't realize that this game just isn't made to entertain you specifically. You are wanting something you will never get and you get so angry when it doesn't happen that your only "use" to this company is breeding toxicity, which you justify as retribution for being "wronged" by Bungie not making the exact game you want.

  • Warframe is a VERY similar game with a FANTASTIC game structure it is older and does many things bungie would benefit from studying. The way DE (warframe's dev) handles content releases is probably the best there has been in the past 5ish years. As people who like both it can sometimes be frustrating watching bungie/activision handle destiny as a franchise. People compare them because they like both but know Destiny can be MUCH better.

    • Agreed. The toxicity needs to stop. Constructive criticism is helpful. Complaining is not.

          • If I may, I also made a post regarding something destiny should incorporate from Warframe - the weapon and armour crafting - as I thought it would be interesting to have in the game but not something that needs to be in the game, just something I'd like to see. I've only been playing Warframe a week now and i see things that I could just imagine Bungie taking and using and would fit perfectly into destiny, just not as complex. I'd also like to make a comment on the rest of your post, I do agree they did make the game but I have to politely disagree with mostly everything else, the gaming studios should be considerate of their player base and listen to them, I'm not saying Change the game completely, however if there's something the player base really wants, and the studio can incorporate it into their game, they should at least give it a try, as a game it only as successful as its player base is happy and playing. Honestly, and please don't hate me for this, but I hate the new subclass trees of D2. However I'd like to say that my opinion is subject to change, as of this moment, I find the current subclass trees of D2 to be too overly simplistic. There's literally two options for how your subclass can be, either Path of this or way of that. For me, the subclass tree/load out of Destiny 1 was confusing at first but once you learned and started switching and mixing different possibilities together you could find the play style for you. If anything, I would've liked to see a even more complex skill tree in D2 with more options both horizontally and vertically wise. However I will still play D2 and will put up with the subclass changes but I would at least like for Bungie to know how I feel and how other players as well. Hell for all I know, everyone could love the subclass changes and it's just me, but I'd still like my opinion to be taken note of in case others feel the same way.

            • Some of us are playing Warframe, just sayin. The problem here is that your same advice that you are giving right now ALSO applied back in Y1 when people complained about the game being too grindy, the best stuff being out of reach and hard to get, etc. It applied when this game was more PVE-centric in terms of tuning, weapons power, etc. and when the game was a lot less balanced. It applied ALL throughout the last 2-3 years when PVP complaints about this weapon being OP or that ability being OP. And that is what is frustrating about the game. D2 didn't NEED to be totally rebuilt centered around PVP, it didn't need to remove special weapons, it didn't need to "streamline" our abilities. None of them were actually needed but they were made to suit the needs of a minority of crybaby PVPers who can't handle being killed by anything other than a squirt gun. Why do I say minority? Because even amongst PVP players, these changes aren't universally popular. They're popular amongst some, but some other PVP players actually LIKED the faster pace, having more powerful weapons, having powerful abilities, etc. So even amongst the PVP crowd, these changes aren't well accepted. The bottom line here is that if we wanted Destiny to just be another FPS, we would have stuck with playing something else like Halo, which does EVERYTHING D2 is TRYING to do, but does it much better (at least on the PVP side). and in trying to emulate Halo in PVP, Bungie's also degraded the replayable PVE experience that has given this game its long life.

                • Then they can complain about a game that truly is below competence.

                  • Sorry but you misunderstood something. Bungie gave promises,Bungie sold this game as a mmorpgfps, Bungie sold this game as a pve focused game. People, complain about a game which devs lied about!

                    • Indeed. Historically when D1 became any margin less of THIER game it actually became worse.
