JUST STOP NERFING WEAPONS FOR THE SAKE OF PVP YOU'RE RUINING PVE

Bungie you create these weapons then test them and deem them OK for the game, so then WTF do you listen to crybaby players begging for them to be Nerfed. Don't you see this has caused you more bad feedback than if you just said No, they were created that way deal with it. If I play Titanfall or another game where a gun kills me quick, I can't go and bleat about it and have it adjusted to suit me. Only when you finally take a stand Bungie and refuse to listen to these Nerf criers will you gain the respect you've lost back from the PVE players you've so wronged, and your game will be all the better for it.

    There have only been a few nerfs that were unwarranted, like bloom even on first bullet for hand cannons to name one. But… Thorn Mythoclast Auto rifle Clever dragon/grasp mag size nerf And…grenade nerf All warranted. Abilities are so overpowered it's unbelievable I went unbroken in a private match using only Felwinter's on nightstalker. Year 1 weapons were so op it wasn't even funny. Two tap thorn, that one iron banner snipe-I mean, shotgun, Felwinter's lie, and are you going to sit there and tell me that hand cannon range and accuracy was realistic as far as gun balance goes? Wake up. Editors note: I'm only naming a few nerfs not all of them

    • It's too late, this sandbox has gotten so lazy that nerfing everything across the entire board is their only solution. When Trials is brought back in D2, that's when this will really hit the fan and this sandbox will pick up from where they left off. Streamers and gamers asking for a meta change and "balance" all the time knowing it is impossible to balance a game that was never created to be balanced. PvE gamers are going to get dumped on again because of the sandbox. 3 years and they haven't learned anything but how to nerf every aspect of the game and pat themselves on the back.

    • PvP players will always use the excuse "PvE is not hard so quit complaining" or "What did we do that ruined PvE". Its the factor of fun and not making crap annoying is what ruins the pve experience pvp players. Ammo reserve nerf to specials so we run out of special during damage phase is obnoxious. Yea we can still kill the boss but the fact that knowing the crying of quite a few pvp players caused us to have less special and make boss fights drawn out longer is annoying and infuriating. Have to waste our time popping synths if we didnt already for heavy or wait till next damage phase to kill him is annoying and a waste of time when before we did faster and didnt have to sit there and look at him cause we ran out of ammo. AND want to ask what was ruined in pve cause of pvp? Sunsingers. After all the nerfs I never wanted to use that subclass. I ran void or storm in raids cause sunsinger was so damn boring after the nerfs due to Trials. If i had bouties for getting solar ability kills it felt that like a chore on that class. In destiny 2 that crap needs to change. Pvp players keep ur changes solely in pvp and dont make pve players deal with ur crap.

      • They nerf pve stuff also. Field scout, Thunderlord, Gjallarhorn, dragons breath, Firefly on fatebringer, and blackhammer ammo drain. Those were mostly pve weapons.

          • PvP nerfs were never enough to make something in pve not worth using. Don't get me wrong, I love pve, but it's difficulty does not have much to do with the actual enemies that you fight and more to do with its mechanics. Which only appear in very few endgame activities so over all, PvE is fairly easy. But pvp can never ruin pve because of how easy and monotonous pve is. I'm not trying to belittle any pve players, but name one gun that has become unusable in pve due to pvp changes. I would also like to point out, that pve players DO NOT deserve anything more than pvp players. And before you go off spewing that "destiny is a pve focused game" bullshit; NO. IT IS NOT. destiny is not pve focused, nor is it pvp focused. This game has always been marketed as a game that has a place for everyone. Casual pvp player, hardcore pvp player, casual pve, hardcore pve. Destiny was meant for everyone.

              • That ship has sailed. Bungie is about PvP. It won't matter what content they add, there is nothing worth hunting because it breaks PvP. If you are a PvE player, play this like a standalone game - play the campaign, on all three characters if you like, then walk away and play something else. Don't blame the PvP players, it's not their fault Bungie chose them. This was Bungie's call. It's easier to support a small, static environment than it is to create new content. The hand has been dealt, and there is no turning back. D2 is a PvP game with some side PvE elements.

                • Bungie run Destiny on a rotating meta, it's basically a building block on which Destiny was formed. By being able to change it every so often it changes the game so it feels and plays different. It's one of the things that has helped keep Destiny alive not only in PVP but with PVE as well. So to say the PVP nerf cry babies have ruined PVE is just a common misconception. Changes were inevitable, it's the price you pay for a rotating meta. I'm not saying the cry babies didn't influence Bungie in any way just that changes were going to happen regardless. Instead of complaining about how PVP or the cry babies have ruined PVE you have to weigh up the pro's and con's of a rotating meta. Yes it sucks not being as effective with with your favourite gun but on the plus side it makes you look for new and different weapons. Either except it or ask for balance but don't point the finger and blame a crowd of people because that won't change anything, it will just add to the toxic hate on the forums. Where I draw the line at is 2 primary's! I've never thought "I would like to use a auto rifle and a scout rifle" or some other primary biased load out!

                  Me thinks that you might just be bad at using your thumbs and eyes at the same time unless the enemies are predictable and have been fought countless times for a three year span.

                  • Its why I stopped playing in November of 2016. Whats the point of grinding loot that gets nerfed into oblivion?

                    • Pvp or pve(I like both), i just wanna have crazy kick ass super powers. That's why I play destiny and not COD. It's why I enjoy titanfall 2, because I get a giant robot killing machine with a minigun the size of a bus. So please stop lengthening cool downs on my super abilities, grenades, and melee. Stop neutering my bad ass guns. Let me run and gun at high speed. The D2 beta showed us that we are a lot less super than D1. That just ain't fun.

                      • D2 has no chance if it is balanced like D1. This game is terrible and, I kind of regret paying $100 already for D2.

                          I just used my mida for the first time in months.... I'd forgotten just how smooth and fluid it feels... It staggers me that they actually nerfed the only balanced scout rifle in the game....They literally said "It's the only scout rifle people use, so instead of taking that to mean that the other scout rifles are broken, we're just going to break the only one that's good." -blam!-ing morons. All be it I feel that bad juju and mida are two weapons that will almost certainly be brought into destiny 2... Maybe not at first, but eventually...

                          Two issues. 1. No one adapts 2. Bungie failed to implement in game counters to meta. Something like the artifact that lowers Crucible burn. That was a good start, but D2 should have more of that. Including armor mods that resist damage types. If you have a solar handcannon as your meta weapon... players can resist against solar damage. Give players more choice... but D2 took away choice.

                            Like I said in another post, They simply need to keep the crucible modes and system in D2 that provide the balance a lot of Destiny players have so longed for and make other modes for the Trolls out there that liked being able to sit in a corner with a shotgun all game or use a sniper all game or a 1 shot kill grenade all game. Then stick those modes in a category of there own with a warning label like "Trolls Live Here" or "BE WARNED: In these modes a player with a lesser skill level than your own may kill you with cheep tactics. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED" Done. Everyone happy. :-) EDIT: As far as PVE, I have not seen any changes that made PVE so hard I could not get passed something with less than 2 hours of patience and practice. So I am happy. If the new Raids or any one task or objective in the game takes more than 2 hours to complete weather it be threw no fault of my own or not I simply wont do it. Look at my records. I am 1 of those that only did the raids once or twice and said NO to the challenge modes cause I have a life and dont want to spend THAT MUCH TIME on any 1 objective in a game. I never even completed Rath of the machine. lol I got to the final boss and went threw all his stages though. I know the way it works and all but I just do not care to spend that much time getting there again and doing all that, its silly.
