Something sinister below Titan...
If you read the Destiny 2 website's description of Titan, Saturn's moon, it says there are golden age ships and developments on the surface of Titan's vast ocean but also something far more sinister below. In D1, the dark below DLC's theme was it's exact title. I don't think Bungie would hint at the same enemy (I.E.the hive) using a very similar motto. The Hive appear to only be on Titan and below it, but I believe they themselves are digging deeper into the planet to find something truly more sinister. In the books of sorrow, the Proto-hive defeated a creature named the Leviathan before leaving Fundament and this creature was apparently a follower or creation of the traveler, which the Hive was taught to hate by the darkness. In D1, the Nine was given many popular myths surrounding as to what they actually are, and one grimoire card says Leviathan intelligences originating from Europa or Titan. Could there be a possible correlation to these 2 separate pieces of grimoire, could the Nine's remnants be the next enemy race? In D1, the Nine's allegiance to the reef is seemingly broken when it decided to release Skolas. Have they been influenced by the darkness when it was pushed back to the Jovians? This is all speculation, but I believe the famed 5th race that can be seen in old concept art wasn't the Taken and was the Nine or something similar. Any thoughts??

I think you all are forgetting that in the nine grimoire card, the nine are supposedly leviathans from the hydrocarbon pits of Titan. It may have something to do with the nine

16 RespuestasHere is the thing, I bet it is oryx.Now before you start saying no we killed him in the raid, you have to look at the cards.Oryx cant be just killed,.While we did kill him in the throne world the same thing happened with oryx's sisters xivo arath and savathun in their throne worlds so they should have died for good.BUT that did not happen he managed to bring them back to life with their reasoning given by the worm gods. Xivo was warfare and tactic savathun was cunning and oryx is wisdom.So all it would take is a warlock to revitalize oryx.This is where toland comes in.He was pretty mad at the guardians for not taking the taken throne. Yeah hie is still alive in the nether hive place from the deathsinger ir yut. So if toland is smart than he will form oryx back into our reality by using cunning.So that is what i think is on titan.

Everything you bring up is tied to the Nine and highlighted in that card. Just to be clear, it also states that the nine are deep orbit warminds, survivors of the cis-jovian, the first born of the awoken and are members of the darkness.

Actually the nine released skolas to push us and the awoken togeather. Beyond that I don't know. Our grimmer lore just we need too know if anything with the nine happened between taken king and rise of iron to D2.

That would be interesting, it would also seem that they have a degree of skill in Making things taken (have no will) which could also explain Xur. It's possible that there is some sort of artifact on Titan. As far as the leviathan theory, Saturn is where they would be found. Deep inside of the planet.
