Good for you to read up on this, but that is not how this works. Activision owns the property rights to what is produced and maintained. It also sets restrictions and guidelines for what Bungie recommends. For example, if b.net specifically needed attention or help? Activision is not going to say, "Nope. 10 employees. 10 contractors. That's it." Their going to say do what is needed. As for Bungie's Sovereignty about vocalizing with us? Absolutely not does a contract state permission is the end all be all. Just like 343 controls Halo, not Microsoft? Activision is merely a valued partner in Destiny's uptaking. IF someone stepped out of line and/or lied about the product though? Activision would have a say on the matter and could correct the statement. That's basically what it is saying.

  • Per the actual contract "Activision, as previously confirmed, retains the exclusive right to publish all Destiny titles. However, Bungie retains ownership of the Destiny intellectual property regardless of its relationship with Activision"

  • Again, muted for not know what you are talking about. It has already been identified that Activision is a stakeholder for the Destiny publication, rights, and materials. Like how Marty was let go? It was Activision which said to the Bungie CEO, in documents, that Bungie had no say in the matter. Likewise? D1 cutscenes were developed by Activision and 3rd party contracts along with Bungie. No kiddo. It's a partnership until the contract is complete or voided and Activision is very much a part of the process for better or worse. They retain those rights with Bungie. Like having 2 landlords for a single property? You are allowed to do that...

  • You cannot separate in your head the legal concepts of Intellectual Property and Stakeholders, which are not the same thing, hence your continued ignorance. Yes they have a contract for a partnership w.r.t Destiny, we all know that. And in that contract it specifies that the Intellect Property of Destiny belongs to Bungie, "regardless of its relationship with Activision" I cannot make it any clearer. If you don't understand what those words mean, there is no point in debating it. You clearly have a low level of comprehension in English, from the strange way you express yourself. Perhaps the explanation is that English is not your first language?

  • I respect your opinion generally, but I'm going to continue to base my analysis of the contract on what the contract actually says, rather than on what you say it's basically saying.

  • Incorrect re property rights, Bungie owns all the Intellectual Property of Destiny the game, it is their IP, not Activision's

  • This is incorrect. When the trial took place, Activision was shown to be a stakeholder in Destiny name, logo, and merch. Sorry, but intellectual property claims are very difficult to fight for a reason. You signed a contract and you are bound to fulfill it's obligations to ALL stakeholders.

  • Bungie creates the game. It's their baby. Activision is entitled to it's yields kiddo. Go read the contract fully. For the exclusive payments and upkeep for Destiny? They get a cut of everything. That's what it means to be the STAKEHOLDER...

Intellectual Property has a precise legal meaning, and in this case Bungie owns the IP of Destiny. And that is a fact. Yes Activision is one party to the contract and Bungie is the other. The contract sets the terms of that partnership, but your ramblings about stakeholders changes nothing with regard to the fact that the IP is Bungie's

  • You are a bumbling fool, who confuses different concepts, and can't stand to be proven wrong. I know for a fact the IP belongs to Bungie because I got it from the horse's mouth. Nothing you have said in your confused ramblings about stakeholders changes the fact that the IP of Destiny the game belongs to Bungie. If it went to court, it would be proven in seconds that the IP is Bungie's, and that is a fact
