I get the whole grimoire mess, but remember the scene when your guardian interacted with queen and her brother?
How would that go in d2?
Nolan would do all the talking while your guardian does hand gestures like a MIME and dance to the Macarena?!
This is suppose to be a story telling experience! Not head bobbling from the hero!
Please do something within the next 30 days or this will be a hand gesturing experience and not in a good way!

2 RespuestasI see a lot of people using the excuse "there are other games that did this and they are great". The issue with that is that, from what we have seen so far, Bungie is not so great at telling the story with mute protagonists. The cutscenes we have seen are awkward and it feels as if the guardian was supposed to have lines in certain spots. Other games can get away with mute protagonists because they know how to tell a story through facial expressions, body language, etc., but Bungie has not shown that capability.

4 RespuestasWell link was mute in Zelda and I think we know how well that series is doing. Pretty stupid question if you ask me. No offense lol

10 RespuestasIt's okay. You get to tell your own story.

Well, there was this book called "King of the Wind" awhile back. It had a mute protagonist. But by and large I agree with you. Our Guardian's lack of dialogue was jarring in "Rise of Iron", and also in the beta's cutscenes (which were otherwise very good).

4 RespuestasThey've already explained this. You are part of the story not the one telling it. It's called narrative.

There would be no "... little light" "don't do that" moments

Half Life.

Lmao, children use emojis to communicate and you can't imagine a video game without a voice??? Get a grip...

dance adn wave and point and sit down when i am done.
-
Our character needs a voice in cutscenes, that's the only way the cutscenes will actually work without feeling uncanny and immersion breaking

22 RespuestasSo you expect Bungie to rewrite the story, hire 6 different voice actors for each race and gender, then hire 72 more voice actors to localize the game in the 12 other countries that they’ve announced, all within a month?

Destiny story??? What story????

Ghost is Navi. But less 'Hey Listen!'

3 RespuestasStories can be told solely through visuals; besides, actions speak louder than words.

You hold your hand over you mouth, indicating the problem, then you draw pictures in the dirt with a stick and make a lot of hand gestures. Kinda like the hand gesture im making at bungie right now.

Don't care, can't play story...

9 RespuestasEditado por RPColten: 8/6/2017 8:55:46 PM...by having the story and narrative be delivered and focused on the world and the characters that live in that world. I really wouldn't want my guardian to have predetermined dialogue for every interaction he/she has with the Ghost and characters. Bungie wouldn't be able to perfectly replicate how I would react with my guardian. I still to this day love the story in Metroid Prime, yet there is zero dialogue in that game and the main protagonist (Samus Aran) has zero dialogue be it voiced or in script.

I've always just spammed all of my buttons hoping the cutscene gets skipped. Or go to the bathroom.

We have centuries old child with a poor sense of humor tell our story.
