I can safely say a large chunk of the community finds the dialogue a bit too cheerful and humorous for the setting.
We are at war with an Empire far stronger than our pitiful rag tag forces. The enemy out numbers us greatly and have unforseeable technology that just might far exceed ours. Surely the seriousness of the situation requires some serious dialogue.
Humor is fine, but not when it's as common as it was in the beta.

#Destiny

It's rated T for teen. Mostly because there isn't a K for kids... Cause that's who Destiny is for apparently.
-
I agree 100% with you, but at least we have a story right?
-
Destiny should be M rated. It's not like there will be less kids that play the game if it's M rated.
-
This game is catered to kids. Why do you think Cayde six is so childish?
-
why does this matter

1 RespuestaIt's not like Gary is going to actually win though is it? Cmon that wouldn't make for a very good ending would it lol

Editado por LRG21: 7/29/2017 10:08:29 AMI might be in the minority here, but I like the cheerful/not too serious dialogue. Destiny tried melodramatic, serious dialogue in the first game. Seemed rather boring. We're space wizards resurrected from the dead centuries ago, I think we can afford a laugh here or there. I do agree that they should dial it back a bit. The ghost in the strike seemed too childish at times. He should be more nerdy/analytical than childish, "vex milk waterfall" being a point of unease.

"Caydes dumb"

I guess you didn't play the first mission.

"That Wizard came from the moon"

3 RespuestasSaid it before, saying it again:
Good to know that a portion of the Bnet community are so insecure of their age that they need big boy dialogue for their big boy pants.
Editado por Syven: 7/28/2017 12:46:15 PM"Humorous" Ghost's humor is about as good as most kid's nowadays.

4 RespuestasThere's still a whole game of dialogue you haven't heard yet. You realize that, right?
-
If you could live forever, it'd be pretty hard to take anything seriously.
-
I dont think anyone laughed at anything Ghost or Failsafe said during that beta, the only "funny" line was in the end when Failsafe and Ghost where arguing, and it wasent like you laugh or anything you just kinda simled. I felt like the dialogue in The Inverted Spire was very cringy, who knows if bungie will change it later or cut some the bad lines but overall i didnt enjoy it.
-
Pretty sure homecoming had a very different tone
-
1 RespuestaThat's assuming The Inverted Spire takes place before Ghaul's defeat Though I do agree
-
2 RespuestasI 100% agree. This game is for babies.
-
“Mature dialogue” in a game filled with toy guns? Seriously!
-
2 RespuestasYour basing your entire argument on a single strike. Did you forget the Homecoming mission entirely?

Editado por SkinlessGorgon: 7/27/2017 9:06:18 AMI thought thats why the hired Lance Reddick. To say dramatic things in a dramatic way Its a teen game aimed at teens, as witnessed by the Vex milk watterfall. hue hue hue This is as meaningful as the dialogue gets
-
You have heard dialogue from 1 mission and a strike
the game is going to get serious
-
Cheer up a bit, the vex milk will drown the cabal. They can't swim in that armor.

1 Respuesta...But people still crack jokes and say dumb things in an actual war...
