That's how I felt about that opening cinematic too.
ZAVALA: What are the sat feeds telling us?
IKORA: Nothing
CAYDE: That's good, right?
IKORA: No, I mean they're not there. There are no satellites.
CAYDE: ...And... that's... not good.
Sure, Nessus' AI observes that Cayde is dumb, but it's like they've thrown away all his personality in order to make a comedic relief moron. You're paying for Nathan Fillion, I mean, come on!

Since when has he not been the comic relief??

Editado por eternalazhrei: 7/26/2017 3:39:58 PMHe's always had comedic relief, that's not the problem. Throwing away the rest of his personality is the issue. I LOVED him in TTK as he formulated a plan and helped us accomplish our goal, but even then he didn't do much except tell us where to get invisibility and get Eris' ship cleared. But now it's just terrible speeches, failing at playing hero, one-liners, and stories about shooting stuff. I don't think I've heard a REALLY good Cayde line since TTK. He had Gravitas before, he did. He was a sneaky and under-handed character with some depth. I haven't seen that depth in a while, and if they surprise me, which is still possible, I will be quite happy. And maybe it's just the advertising stuff that they're letting have this particular quality. I really hope so. But from what I've seen, it really looks like they're just butchering Cayde, and a lot of dialogue in general. I'm really hoping that it's better in the release... but... I mean, at least when he pulls his Golden Gun later in that cinematic, before Ikora saves him, show his shots coming out of the tower taking down a few missiles. Give him some effectiveness and show that he's helping people by defending the tower for a moment longer, giving them more time to get into Zavala's bubble.
