So there are 2 different game modes in Destiny 2 that we have seen. One of them is advertised as "competitive," and it features a game mode very similar to search and destroy. The other is advertised as "quickplay," and it features the control game mode.
My question is this: if one play list is advertised as "competitive" while the other is "quickplay," then why do both of these play lists have skill based match making? Nobody I heard of complained about it in year 1 when there wasn't SBMM, so why are we getting it again? I'm not asking to be able to pub stomp every match. However, I shouldn't have to feel like I'm playing a tournament every single time I play this game. Not only that, but if I want to play with some of my friends, they won't have a good time since they'll be the ones getting stomped every game. Challenging matches are fine every once in a while, but they become very irritating when they happen every single match.

6 RespuestasMaybe just remove D2 from the console stores problem solved
-
SBMM is LAGGY AIDS
-
As one in favor of a hybrid SBMM (takes into account both geographical variance as well as skill) I do hope quickplay uses only CBMM

1 RespuestaPetition to remove people who want SBMM removed because it makes them have to work for their kills. The lag thing was an issue of there not being a large enough player pool, not because of SBMM. You're just crying because sometimes you get matched against people who are better than you more often than people who are weaker than you. If you don't want to get roflstomped from time to time, then player vs player games are not for you. You can't always be the big man on the kill score board. Get over it. If they ever actually did disable it entirely, every single game would be like playing Sweaters of Assiris and people would just stop playing crucible entirely. They didn't make this game for /you/. They made this game to make money for them and their shareholders. Driving people to quit the game costs them money, and if they don't make money, you don't get destiny 3. Get it?

SBMM is atrocious. At the very least we need the option to region restrict.

5 RespuestasFirst of all destiny has always had sbmm. Even the beta had it. Secondly, if you're complaining about sbmm in the D2 beta then what you're really complaining about is a game without sbmm because the beta hasn't been out long enough to accurately rank you. It's basically MMing people based on connection since everyone is probably ranked similarly in skill.

Under QuickPay, it says competitive pvp
-
I'm fine with SBMM in all modes

4 RespuestasGuess what.... For players in the lower brackets EVERY game is a sweat fest. And when the skill gap is significantly can't, no amount of "git guy" works. To keep pvp balanced for the greatest percentage of players, some degree of SBMM is required.
-
1 RespuestaWow, PvP'ers already whining and the game is still 6 weeks from release? Some things never change.
-
1 RespuestaHow do you know it does have SBMM?
-
Agreed. When I hear quickplay I think relaxed fun game and not sweaty tryhard
-
I like that we will get skill based it makes it so you'll never get stomped on just because the other players are better or brought down by a bad team
-
2 RespuestasThe needs of the many come before the needs of the few. Im probably top 20% and wreck in a no sbmm setting, but even though I enjoy this, its not fun for ppl im destroying
-
Just take it out.

Bungie doesn't seem to care. We've been advocating this for years now, and by virtue of the fact that SBMM is still so prevalent, we can estimate their level of concern to be that of 0. In my experience, it would seem that Quickplay is ironically more challenging than Competitive. Quickplay, being advertised as "low intensity" is such deception. Lol
-
Because bungie cater to the more casual base. They take the lower brackets and put them in the kiddy pool per say.
-
2 RespuestasEither try in PVP or take it easy, up to you. You shouldn't expect PVP to help you succeed against other human players in games where you're not interested in trying. They're PEOPLE man, not adds for you to kill...
-
2 RespuestasAs a less skilled PVP player, I feel like that every game when there is no SBMM. So I use the same argument to say we need SBMM.
-
4 RespuestasSimple, because quick play is also described as "low intensity", which it wouldn't be for the majority of players if SBMM was removed.
-
Quickplay should be where you win and lose at an even pace. Instead, it's fireteams stomping, not fun. SBMM has no place there, only Competitive.
-
ITT: bad players supporting sbmm b/c they can't handle being beaten by people who are actually decent at the game
-
8 Respuestasthis. and if you think people just want this so they can pubstomp you have no idea how it works.
-
Just like how Overwatch does it.
