It feels like there's a lot less aim assist or accuracy or something, because nothing feels "crispy" anymore. The reduced damage in PvP isn't so much of a big deal, but I'm landing significantly less headshots because the recoil throws me off and there seems to be no tracking towards the head. Datto also observed this in his impressions video, it definitely feels like weapons aren't nearly as satisfying to use as they were in D1.
Also, certain guns feel especially weak in PvE where magazine sizes feel lower than ever on scouts, sidearms are unusable garbage, and there hasn't been a single power weapon that really feels POWERFUL. Shotguns still don't have that much range, snipers deal hardly any damage, and grenade launchers have a tiny explosion radius.

Yes, very much so!!!

I totally agree about how guns don't feel as "crispy" as they did in D1. Hand cannons especially don't feel nearly as accurate as they were in D1. Might want to change the title to something about gun accuracy instead of strength, though, since that seems to be the bulk of the discussion here.

I seem to be getting a lot of ghost bullets with hand cannons in pvp. Other weapons seem to be pretty consistent though.

2 RespuestasEditado por BodyWr3k: 7/21/2017 2:02:49 AMBungie: heres your awesome power weapon Me: this does look awesome cant wait to use it I bet this will really pack a punch Me: wheres my ammo ? Bungie: I almost forgot, reaches into their freezer and pulls out a bag of peas. Here you go. Dont forget you only have 10 shots with those use them wisely thats pretty much all you get. Were testing a new weapon system let us know how it goes. Me: I guess its back to my 2 primaries again That's pretty much how power weapons work at least in the beta.
-
At this point I would've been happier with an entire revamp of Destiny 1.
-
I wouldn't know. They moved all my specials to heavy and I couldn't get any ammo to use them.

Editado por xXZeroShikiXx: 7/23/2017 11:04:28 AMFelt like a proper combination of weapon perks was far more significant. I couldn't kill a thing in pvp until I put armor piercing rounds on the Nightshade pulse rifle. And the solar AR felt like a spitball smg until I set it up with as much stability as possible. All still pretty weak though. Was just sayin.

1 RespuestaLuke Smith "We tried to make the game (D2) harder" PVE: Shity new weapons - check. Shity new weapon system - check. Reduce ability charge time - check. Reduce super charge time - check. Reduce heavy ammo drops - check. Now, due to the negative criticism being voiced over PVE aspects in the beta, Bungie have been forced into a rescue plan to reassure the community and the market ahead of launch. Bungie just don't get it....

To me guns feel good in pvp but worse than shooting marshmallows in pve
-
My hawkmoon can kill a minotaur in all of its 13 shots. I need to use 1/4 of my hand cannon ammo to kill a minotaur in destiny 2. This is just the beta. I have hope that there will be some weapon tuning.
-
..what has bungie been doing with their time?...this game feels aaaall wrong.. ..very dissapointed
-
Bring back the D1 loadout system for PvE
-
We thought primaries in D1 were bad. Now we have two of them as well! WOW!

I thought I was imagine it.

Editado por Audiblegold86: 7/21/2017 12:43:26 PMThere is a lot about the guns in D2 to not like. DPS aside, the flavor & character of the guns is way off the mark as well. D2's guns just aren't guns. They look poorly details and thrown together at the last minute for the beta release. Some of them such as urchin-3si, showrunner & phosphorus mg4 look like dentist and gardening tools rather than guns. Part of destiny's appeal is the guns. It's a shooter after all so the guns in it have to be enjoyable and realistic, what you'd expect in a futuristic world such as portrayed in this game. The guns in the beta really miss the mark by a county mile. Add to that, I don't like the division between the three weapon types. Kinetic, energy and power? I don't see why you'd want to get a hand cannon in either slot. It's confusing and illogical. A better system would be small/primary and a heavy weapon slot. Makes a lot more sense as your guardian would carry the small on the hip and alternate between primary/heavy on the back and carried. Small = Side arms, hand cannons and SMG. Primary = Rifles, pulse, scout, auto. Heavy = Sniper, grenade launcher, shot, fusion, HMG, sword etc.

1 RespuestaIt's called the new weapon system. Half the weapons in this game are locked behind the power weapon slot so you don't get a diversity in weapons which in turn = boring game !
-
5 RespuestasI wonder if the lack of damage output has to do with enemies being 'Power level 200', which is the same as our Guardians. On Patrol they may be weaker but since its a Strike? Could be this.
-
Yea, Bungie HATES single players, you're probably better off playing something else if you want to be a lone wolf As punishment for being a lone wolf, Bungie made it so you HAVE to join a clan or sit in a lobby for 10 hours to play a game, also guns are SUPER weak allllllll around so you have to team shoot EVERYTHING Also if you play PvP as a lone wolf you can expect to get dropped into losing and lagging games constantly you'll almost NEVER start a game from the beginning of a match👎🏻

Well that vote was decisive....

1 RespuestaEditado por RobbieG205: 7/21/2017 9:31:09 AMI'm actually quite liking primary weapons, they have a bit more recoil and maybe a bit less aim assist but that isn't what's bothering me. It's the other two categories that seem a problem to me. I don't see the point of having effectively another primary in an energy slot, just means less damage output. Most of all it's the so called power weapons which should probably be called "can't balance them in PvP" weapons. So there you go Bungie saying we've changed weapons so you can use more of what you love is a load of rubbish, it's more like Bungie have changed weapons because they couldn't find a way of balancing them for PvP. Thanks Bungie I can now use less of what I love all for the sake of PvP. I think having fun playing PvE is the most important thing Bungie should be concentrating on and with the way weapons are in the beta, I'm not sure if I'll ever love or have as much fun playing D2 as much as I have with destiny

22 RespuestasIt's not the guns, people. It's the health. Whine about health being too high, not guns being too weak.
-
Yes ! It's not fun at all . Guns handle and feel better in D1
-
-
2 RespuestasHandcannons felt right in pve but that was about it.
-
3 RespuestasDoes Not Compute and Black Scorpion 4SR are both utter TRASH. Bungie have you ever fired a Scout Rifle?
-
2 RespuestasSidearms are useless. They need to be more like D1. These guns mock COD like Scathelock. All guns are weak. Its obvious bungie wants it that way otherwise it would b different. Very sad. Smh
