What I completely do not understand is why they would even touch movement. I don't remember seeing not one person on any ANY site anywhere make one complaint about the movement in D1. There was ZERO reason to even waste time thinking about changing it. It was damn near perfect. A classic case of fixing something that was not broke.

Titan skating got tons of complaints. Warlock skating also got complaints. Hunters really had no way to speed up their movement so making sure the others couldn't abuse a broken system makes sense
-
Titan skating and shoulder charge. So much complaints.
-
Shoulder charge was complained about constantly. Constantly.
-
Shoulder charge is not movement
-
Hahaha did I actually say shoulder charge. Im sorry, I'm what you call, a moron. I meant titan skating
-
Saul Goodman.. Honestly that's what I thought you might've meant Although with the slower ttk and.. well.. the slower everything really, they probably could've left Titan skate alone. IMO
-
I agree.
-
Is it me or was turning/looking right was super slow in d1?
-
Well there might be a couple of reasons here, lets see. Artificial difficulty is something destiny devs have been big on ever since we solar-demolished Skolas. And then there is the thing were sony demanded that D2 run in 4k, that might have something to do with, it definitely has a lot to do with the new 4 player max fire team. Of course it could be because, in the e-sports world, destiny pvp is a complete joke and they want it to be taken seriously. Might be because they are using an antique engine to run D2. Lots of possibilities.
-
You are correct my friend. I wanted this to feel like part two of Destiny. Not a completely different game.
-
Agreed! Well said!

I am sure they did it to match the games tick rate. It works much better now. The movement was way to fast compared with the number of server updates the game was getting causing lag in character position. Just get used to it.
-
If it slower it sucks but I guess I could deal with it. But it just feels unresponsive.
-
yeah i titan skating was an unintended side effect, so i always thought they would remove that, waelocks feel great tho
-
Titans actually have a better feel to me than Warlocks and I was a Warlock main in D1, but that's just me, maybe. The jumps for example didn't used to be as floaty you felt more in control in mid-air
-
I feel the same way, actually. Also a Warlock main in D1.
-
Wait wait, so you're saying a fat -blam!- titan and warlock is supposed to be faster then a lightweight agile full speed hunter? What's that physics grade looking like?
-
Wait wait, so you're saying a fat -blam!- titan and warlock is supposed to be faster then a lightweight agile full speed hunter? What's that physics grade looking like?
The hunter isn't supposed to be fast, just agile and evasive. It can easily be faster than the two if you have the right environment and bones.
-
The hunter is supposed to be fast, hwnce why they have the highest amount of agility according to stats in D1. Like you just said, they're suppose to be agile and evasive with speed, you cant become agile and evasive when you're slow it just doesnt make sense. It makes no sense if a titan can out perform a hunter by being more evasive and have more speed due to their jump, and twilight.
-
Speed is not agility

Not to mention you can easily be evasive without a super fast jump. You've got shadestep, blink, and not to mention the normal hunter skating with bones.

Well said!

What does agility do then in Destiny?
-
How do you not know this?
