Well said. I can actually play d2 pvp and not get salty d1 pvp is just broken has been for a long time. People are just upset they can't spam abilities and every other cheap part of d1 anymore

*fun part Not cheap
-
Actually, I'm upset that guns are the only thing that are a factor to the point where it's the only team factor, which gets old fast. I wanted a destiny game, not an average game
-
I have had plenty of kills with my melee grenades and super only difference is I don't get 15-20 kills a game with just abilities now
-
As did i. But they we so weak and Unavailable that you might as well not have them
-
They compliment the gunplay abilities should not 1 shot you the supers are fine maybe a little slow but it doesn't really bother me. Having to wait 1 min for a grenade is not really that bad.
-
Not that bad? I have to wait a whole minute to get a freaking weak ass grenade? What is this trickle? Even halo had nade apam, it's just a part of having grenades that's what they do
-
Never played halo its better than cheap ass sticky grenade warriors 1 shotting you every 10 secs. D1 atm is the cheapest version of a shooting game I could imagine. D2 is a welcome change sure there could be a medium but it doesn't bother me to have to shoot my gun I am playing a shooter. If I want to play an ability based game I will go play warframe.
-
Your gun will always come first, but when it's the only factor, that's a big problem. Halo understood this, overwatch gets it too
-
Have you played d1 the guns never come first. Also there will be gear with mods and such that will make the abilities faster I don't see a problem with the abilities I am still getting kills with them my super kills my melee kills my grenades kills or sets up a kill without dominating the game. Thats not to mention the subclass trees that aren't unlocked yet that will provide additional cooldowns on abilities.
-
Irrelivant. They carry so little weight already in the core game, which is an issue
-
everyone has an opinion I still think its better than the previous game.
-
It's more watered down. That is a fact. There's way less element that go into engagments. Which gets incredibly boring really fast
-
That is an opinion fact I like it and so do many others just as many others do not just because you feel a certain type of way doesn't make it fact. ex. there is gravity on earth would be a fact.
-
It is plain fact that the irrelivant of abilities and movement factors makes the game all about shooting and shooting and shooting. With teamshotting being the only skill actually required At least overwatch understands team synergy, there's a big difference
-
It is fact that you feel that way but your feelings are just an opinion. I think the abilities and movements are fine. Strong abilities don't require skill I use d1 crucible in the current state as an example. the hunters dodge as well as the dawnblades are strong when used properly imo strength of abilities is fine imo.
-
They carry incredibly little weight, to the point where they would not affect the gameplay at all of they weren't there. That is a fact, 80% of the game is teamshotting, not even real teamwork
-
Teamshotting is teamwork though not a skill. A well coordinated group will more than likely beat a more skilled uncoordinated group. Thus teamwork wins. The fact that I cleared a zone with a grenade affected gameplay something I couldn't have done with just a gun 1v3 I won because of the ability and well placed shots. No way I win without the grenade.
-
Look at overwatch, you can focus fire all you want, but team synergy is the real kicker. Including coordinated flanks, focus barricading, lucid playing the proper tune for the situation, proper positioning for non mobile heroes, extreme mobile coordination for a flanker due to their low health pools (they need to have the enemy distracted first) Much more variety offered
-
Sounds to me like you want a game like overwatch that is not overwatch.
-
Nope, I want this game to be destiny, not watered down halo
-
Feels like destiny to me and many others just balanced. Do you honestly prefer the dogsh_t that is d1 compared to this?
-
I prefer year 1 destiny. And overwatch because they weren't stale
-
Most people that played destiny in year 1 prefer it. In reality everything was broken at 1 point or another and it was fun.
-
Look around. The community is disappointed
-
I would say its about 50/50 maybe not on the forums but everyone I know literally all of my friends are excited so it is what it is.
