"Do not look at me creature"
Simple but so powerful. We are the aliens and the weird monsters to the Cabal.
Ghaul is such an alpha male he doesnt think we are worth looking at him.
English

I did get a little thrill with the cutscene...it felt more personal and emotional then all the stuff in destiny 1. If the game has a lot more of that its going to be a lot of fun for me to go through the story.

We've woken the hive

1 RespuestaPrefer Sovereign's speech ln ME, but not bad.
-
I agree. So far the story seems much better than all of d1.. Let's hope it stays that way.
-
5 RespuestasMy favorite line is "You are not brave, you've merely forgotten the fear of death. Allow me to reacquaint you."
-
3 RespuestasSorry but no one who worked on Destiny 2 deserves any kind of pay raise whatsoever.... in fact they should all probably be fired.... IMO
-
I agree. That line is epic. I think whoever wrote that last bit needs a nice pay bump. "...allow me to reacquaint you"
-
5 RespuestasI can't believe ghaul put forth the effort to learn our language, while our guardian doesn't even care to speak it... That's probably why he's so mad, spent all that time and money on Cabala Stone for nothing smh
-
3 RespuestasWho taught this f**ker English?
-
Oh look vex milk waterfall can we stop, aww. the best 😂
-
And yet Gaul speaks (insert regional language here).
-
2 RespuestasMeh, he's got nerve calling ME the creature with a face like that.
-
For some reason I like the small grunt when he kicks you off the ship. Small touch, but well done.
-
8 RespuestasI'm more impressed with the fact that Ghaul spoke perfect English.

6 RespuestasEditado por Bullet Friendly: 7/21/2017 12:01:53 AMAm i the only one that took more than 10 minutes to figure out how to disable the turbines?

Reminds me of alot of the main villains in action anime.... Which is a good thing... Now back to my search for another good action anime to watch...
-
I liked all of his dialogue. He felt terrifying.
-
Nah I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain. Is forever a classic and they need a pay rise for that!!!
-
12 RespuestasAm I the only one who doesn't understand why we have our new supers before our light gets taken away? Continuity issue there. They said we would get them after we lost our light
-
1 RespuestaIt was a stupid line to me. Some people put so much behind a few letters and jizz their pants over it when most of us just waited for the cut scene to end. If anything I honestly didn't like him using that adjective to describe us. No one says creature
-
Personally the voice in that scene could of been clearer. Sounded like my grandad looking for his false teeth in the morning
-
2 RespuestasHere we go again! Having to make the game more interesting and thoughtful than it actually is or than the writers intended.
-
I would bet the original vision for Destiny, story, characters, etc was vastly superior to everything D2

1 Respuesta*infrasound intensifies It's a pretty simplistic line, honestly. Not to say a simple line is a bad thing; powerful quotes tend to be short and potent. But the line you quoted implies separation, not power or dominance. It could just as easily be said in the context of fear or, more likely, shame. So no, I wouldn't say it's a powerful line. It doesn't form its own context, nor would it carry weight if you didn't know the character delivering the line. Something like "Go forth, and bring back the hope of humanity!" is a powerful line because of what it implies, it provides its own context (struggle, motivation, authority, a call to action), and it's delivery carries weight even without knowing the speaker.
Could also say "don't look at me" is something I'd expect to hear from a group of girls socializing in a class room more so than the warlord of a battle hardened legion of giant, militarized monsters, but we're not going for low blows. Adding "creature" at the end just make it seem more edgy than intimidating. Like I said, it implies separation and even ignorance more so than authority or dominance.

For further insight, compare the most iconic quote from the planet of the apes between the original film and the remake. See how one word changes the effect of the line, make one form iconic while making the other feel cheesy and out of place.
It was a beautiful scene.

I was really impressed with the second cutscene where you flew back to the city towards the tower. The structure of that shot was literally identical to that of an early cutscene from D1 where you first flew into the city. That created a juxtaposition between the two games. In D1, the scene was very calm and almost majestic, with blue dominating the landscape. Then in D2, that tone is completely flipped into a chaotic, flaming hell scape with the ruins of the city being at centre stage. I love it
