It's not all about PVP, some people actually care about the PVE side too.
An yes current Destiny PVP is at its worst, agreed, but the weapon system change does feel like a bizarre way to balance out the PVP side of Destiny at the expense of the PVE side.

Mate no argument here, first D2 mission is awesome and makes me so excited for pve. As d1 is so old, the pve is pretty boring now so I only focus on trials as it's fun. As soon as D2 drops the grind in pve starts and I can't wait. The start of the new strike, the place looks awesome and I love the improvements. And your totally right, pve should not be affected by pvp at all.
