I'm not going to bitch because enough people are doing that, and you can play the game for yourself. Sony not allowing refunds on their digital store, especially for games that aren't out yet, is a bad business practice that needs to end. And I know Bungie isn't going to step up and give refunds either, after all the primary goal is to make money regardless of whether the consumer is happy. That's more clear than it's ever been...

I'm not sure if it's because of high volumes or something but best buy is now charging people 20 bucks for cancelling preorders in destiny 2....
-
This would be considered an illegal business practice both in Belgium and in the EU (under the 2014 e-commerce directive) so you actually have a really good point. Also, my pre-order got refunded in about 25 seconds on Xbox. Sony is not the good example when it comes to refunds on Digital purchases apparently.

3 RespuestasThere was a dude passing out beta codes last week for free and you're telling me you spent 60 dollars to play this beta?
Y E E T
133 RespuestasHonestly why do you all buy digital games? Physical is better in every way.

7 Respuestasbut you've learned not to throw $ at the screen now. a lesson that will serve you well in life. don't believe the hype. measure twice and cut once. look before you leap.

They do allow refunds, you're just spreading false information.

3 Respuestashttps://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/store---transactions/playstation-store-information---pre-orders/how-do-i-cancel-a-pre-order-0/ After payment (immediate payment) How long you have to cancel (cooling off period) depends on when you paid: More than 14 days before main product release date You can cancel up to the release date if you have not started to download1 the main part of the pre-order (or the pre-load file). 14 days or less before main product release date You can cancel up to 14 days after placing the pre-order if you have not started to download1 the main part of the pre-order (or the pre-load file). If you have not started to download the main product and your pre-order included immediately accessible extra content, this extra content will stop working if you cancel your pre-order and you will receive a refund to your wallet. If no additional content was included you will receive a refund to the original payment method where possible2. Contact us to cancel your pre-order if you have paid.

Why preorder if you don't like the return policy then?

1 RespuestaKinda your own fault for purchasing. Should've waited for the open beta

19 RespuestasIt's not a game it's a beta.

I cancelled my PS4 digital D2 pre-order with no problem. Instead of a refund, Sony applied credit to my wallet. I'm fine with that.
-
You couldn't wait 2 whole days for the open beta to judge the game? Two days????
-
You're acting like they offered destiny 2 with absolutely zero information about it for $60(which you willingly give them) and they turned around and gave you a box of used diapers instead. There is plenty of information on the game for you to get a rough feel what it'll be like for you to make a decision. If that isn't enough logical reasoning for you, maybe wait until the product is released before you fully pitch the entire price for the game? The only person you kind of people are allowed to be mad at are yourselves.

You preordered for a couple days early on the beta that's your choice. Patience is a virtue

1 RespuestaIm not sure what you expected, if you have doubts preorder the physical copy; its only 5$, you knew ahead of time Sony doesn't do refunds, so who is to blame?
-
2 RespuestasHere's a thought; stop pre-ordering games that you aren't 100% sure you'll actually end up wanting. Problem solved. I know it's tough not to buy in to pre-order incentives. There are no laws in the United States that claim a company MUST give you a refund for simply not wanting a product. Europe's laws are a little different, so if you wanna be able to cancel a pre-order without paying a dime...then pack up your belongings and head overseas, my friend.

6 Respuestas*facepalm* Sony DO allow refunds... As long as your D2 pre-order didn't come with extra content (a theme or something) it'll be a cash refund. If it did come with extra content, it'll be refunded to your PSN wallet.
After payment (immediate payment) If you have not started to download the main product and your pre-order included immediately accessible extra content, this extra content will stop working if you cancel your pre-order and you will receive a refund to your wallet.
