You know, this all sounds cool, but it doesn't sound good if Eververse is still a thing in Destiny 2.

I think the main reason we had Eververse was what they originally said it was meant for. Money so they could fund the live events in D1 and the team that made them. It may return, but it would hopefully be to support live events and to provide more income to the devs while they work on their next product.

She sells cosmetics...so who gives a -blam!-..
-
It could easily turn into pay-to-win.
-
But it hasn't for 2 years :P
-
Doesn't mean it can't.
-
Eververse or something similar will still be around the question is will it affect how we play in D2?
-
I was hoping it wouldn't even be in D2. :(

Editado por PRINCE_ALI_1985: 7/18/2017 4:32:32 AMTo be honest if it's cosmetic, emotes or skins I'm fine with that other than that it's an issue with me. Even the rep booster is an issue.
-
No, rep booster is bad. Heck micr-transactions in full priced games are bad.
-
Sorry I met I'm not fine with rep boosters. I'll edit
-
Gotcha.

Oh Tess is getting a major upgrade alright lol. Since Bungie made to where only faction vendors sell weapons and they are set weapons. You know things like accessories or whatever to add to a weapon would most likely be sold through her. That's if they are a thing is Destiny...
-
I love how people think cosmetics are okay now....
-
They're completely fine
-
Why are they not? If they don't affect gameplay, why are you against them?
-
If you pay $60 for a game there should be zero microtransactions. I paid for those cosmetics. Since when are cosmetics not in the game? It's stupid unless those sales pay for future free dlc.
-
Technically, if she's introduced post-launch and sells items not included at launch, then no, you didn't pay for those cosmetics. Any Post-Launch content you don't pay for, you paid for the launch stuff, and you'll get the launch stuff.
-
If you pay $60 for a game there should be zero microtransactions. I paid for those cosmetics. Since when are cosmetics not in the game? It's stupid unless those sales pay for future free dlc.
Those micros do help pay for future content - both in the game they're purchased and other games the publisher releases. This industry is quite fickle, and overall profit margins are typically quite low, in the single digits for many. Hell, even Actvision's 23% is kinda low for as much money as they shell out.
-
Id agree if said game were offline and didnt have continual support and updates, in many online ongoing game microtrans exist in some form, hell most free online games are all about microtrans its how the games are able to have continual updates and in the case of destiny help support the live events and associated content.
-
First and foremost, you pay $60 for whatever the manufacturer sells at that price. If they want to add on later, they are well within legal rights to do so. Secondly, stop and think about this... How much did a game cost originally for Super NES? Average cost was $50-60. Inflation has never made it's way into the gaming industry. Games have come a long way since then, mind you, and that includes production and marketing costs. So, I ask you again, if it doesn't affect gameplay, why are you against it?
-
They also sold way less units back then to a smalled demand. Why wouldn't I want the cosmetics included?
-
I get it dude. I would love everything handed to me for free, too. But that's not the world we live in. And btw, it's been stated numerous time that Eververse income does, in fact, go toward free DLC and updates (which we are supposedly getting more of in D2).
-
It never did though.... Would be cool if they went the Titanfall 2 route with free dlc...but it's already confirmed they won't.
-
Editado por WhiskeyHotel: 7/18/2017 4:37:37 AMApril Update? Age of Triumph? Those were free DLC... and they offered much more than a TF2 DLC ever has. Now granted, TF2 receives them more often, but like I said, Activision has clarified that D2 will be receiving updates and add-ons at a much more frequent rate.
