Going into Trials with only 1 or 2 people is explicitly forbidden for unknown reasons (if I want to go in alone and get my ass kicked, that should be MY decision to make!), so getting a full fireteam is an absolute necessity.
Few of the Destiny playerbase actually plays trials, and most of those that do are tryhards that only care about winning.
If you're a bad player and/or your KD sucks, these people don't want to be anywhere goddamn near you, so that severely limits your options when finding teammates, and therefor makes it much harder for you to improve your skills (more time spent finding teammates means less time actually playing, your skills worsen and you suck more).
Once you've actually found players, you start playing. You either win or lose your first match. If you lose, there's a chance that one or both of your teammates will ditch you immediately (even if they posted on the "casual/bounty" portion of the LFG), then you NEED to find more people to replace them.
You get another person, their passage will be fresh, and yours will have a loss on it. This means you'll get kicked out at different times. If you have to return to the Reef to get another passage before they get the final loss on theirs, they'll ditch you. Now you NEED to find someone else.
Someone has a real life issue that they have to go and deal with, they'll ditch you and you NEED to find someone else.
Do you see what I'm getting at here? Trials is nothing more than a cycle of looking for people, playing a LITTLE bit of Crucible, and then having to spend ages looking for more people.
You know what would instantly fix this issue? Letting people enter Trials with less than 3 people!

6 RespuestasBecause, it may speed up the crushing defeat for casual players by giving them an easy win early. This will get them to 5 wins even faster, which puts them in sweaty territory. Or God forbid, a casual team plays 1 guy randomly and gets to 7 wins easier.
