I really don't like the new subclass limitations. I feel like we should have more options rather than very linear choices. I really hope we can see this change before launch, as I feel it will hurt the game in its lifecycle.(Edit : Wow I didn't think this many people would give feedback! Thanks for showing me some of your opinions, you've made me feel better about his change.)

43 RespuestasEditado por ProfessahStein: 7/15/2017 1:18:18 AMSimple: Would you rather 100 shitty choices? Or 20 extremely effective choices? Seems pretty clear to me. With d1: You had the illusion of choice: Certain perks were meaningless and never actually improved your chances of winning/completing any activity that weapons and armor couldn't already do. With d2: We are getting a reduction in the amount of useless perks and gear. And although this means a reduction in choice; it most certainly means an increase in the effectiveness of these limited choices. Edit: I muted the fella that was arguing on here because he was talking about a lot of things that you couldn't possibly know. But, the devs have stated that they are reducing player choice in some regards to give us more sustenance. That's all I need. I don't need 100 crappy perks or subclass abilities. Give me some that count and will be useful. That is the only point. But, there are just some people that want to complain, just to complain.

1 RespuestaEditado por EdeTheGod: 7/17/2017 7:42:07 AMReserving judgement, but here's how I see D1 players: D - Noobs. Not sure about anything regarding weapons and armour. C - Some experience of levelling a few nodes in a sub-class. Have begun to feel a pull towards certain types of weapons. Armour: what's available and higher than current light. B - Has fully levelled a subclass and completed main story campaign. Some PvP experience. Wondering about levelling to do raids and Iron Banner events. Does not understand how sub-class builds affect game-play. A - Experienced with multiple sub-classes. Has completed raids and other end-game content. Maybe has reached or approaching max light. Has completed raid/s and Iron Banner. Has played Trials but frustrated about progress. Vocal and opinionated about the game but has many logical flaws in reasoning. Believes there is an objectively 'correct' build and load-out for each subclass. Rigid and inflexible play-style. Highly stat-focussed. S - Expert level player. Fully understands sub-class strengths and weaknesses. Willing to experiment but is not an anti-meta adopter in high-level content. Usually happy and willing to help less experienced players. High grimoire score. Completed all raids and has been to the Lighthouse multiple times under own steam. Has balanced and reasoned views about the game. Less stat-focussed than A-level players, but more outcomes driven. X - Maverick player. Very rare. Actively explores and enjoys seeking out and using, in all activities, idiosyncratic builds and weapons. Is not 'results/stat focussed' at all and is likely to betray you and your Fireteam in pursuit of personal fulfilment. Usually found alone, or with a less experienced colleague, attempting to glitch out of the map and wielding distinctly unfashionable gear. Understands builds, weapons, and the whole game intimately. Does not even acknowledge peer critique. You can decide for yourself where 'the market' is... Edit: X players are often confused with B level, by A level players in lfg groups. X players are horrifying to A.

Editado por Blooddrunk123: 7/17/2017 7:58:12 AMIm fine with having set builds, as long as we can have more than two choices. Three sets of talents for a character would be good. The game will get boring very quickly if its either A or B when it comes to a subclass. Just looking at the Dawnblade perk tree, the second set of options is a much better all around set of perks. Dont get me wrong, that decend move is cool, but is Angel of Light better when compared to firing weapons in mid-air and an aerial evade? The majority of players are going to probably use the second set of perks. Three sets of choices would be better.

Apparently we're too stupid to use the originals correctly .... or as mr Luke smith would like us too !!

1 RespuestaDumbing down makes it easier to combat buffs and nerfs...stay tuned for destiny 3...get to play as the tihunlock and only able to choose a grenade a jump and melee ;)
-
Limiting player choice should be about reducing pointless things. This change feels like "Balancing: The Easy (read - cheap) Way" or as Mark Noseworthy made it sound, "We don't know how a subclass is meant to work, so now we don't have to think, learn or invent new methods."
-
6 RespuestasIn year 1 this was OP or that was OP. By year 3 a new term started bouncing about. "Balance" Bungie has changed things up so now weapons no longer have various rolls and subclasses have identical skill trees. What does that mean? It means at any given time you'll be using the exact same weapon, with the exact same skill tree as one or two other players on the opposing team. Why? Because Balance.
-
I'd be more open to the new design if they planned on adding more perk clusters down the line, but I'm willing to give it a try.

1 RespuestaConsidering how people only used a very select few perks on subclasses and how people in pvp only ever uses the same perks (stupid youtubers and streamers), all the unused perks were removed from the game and either replaced with different perks (golden gun 6 shooter) or completely removed period (self-rez cheating ass warlocks). Blame pvp players for why weapon perks are static, armor perks are static, and why our subclass perks are static, and also why the ttk subclasses were removed from the game.
-
I'm honestly more upset about the removal of int/dis/ate from armour. It's going to make PvE so much less fun.
-
2 RespuestasThey took out that Armor Recovery and Agility perk boosters right? Good. You were so limited with what combos ypi could have. Now that they are tied to armor, my hunter can finally have an armor and recovery build.
-
9 RespuestasI believe it's an excellent decision. I like the simplifications they're putting into the game. I really think it's gonna be fantastic
-
8 Respuestassimplified doesn't mean it'll be better. D2 would be like taking Rock Paper Scissors and removing Paper because it'll make things easier. does that make the game better? not really :/

Editado por rainyraptor1343: 7/15/2017 5:05:02 PM
Pvp or pve I'm always changing nodes in my subclasses even in the middle of matches to adapt and overcome :) sure hope I can still do that somewhat.... it feels like they dumbed it down for new players imo
(from Troy W79) Gonna quote what someone else said in the thread. This is the crux of the matter. I realize not everyone min maxes but removing options for those that do is NOT ok.
-
Felt same way until I kinda thought, there's at least 1 or 2 perks on every column that were complete wastes and nobody used. I'm kinda glad they're shorter
-
8 RespuestasYou know, sometimes less is more you know? You simplify/limit the quantity to make the few left over even better and more effective. More options isn't always better, it really just bloats things out if not done correctly and bungie isn't capable of doing things correctly.

8 RespuestasEditado por TheShadow-cali: 7/15/2017 12:57:55 AMTo many unnecessary changes has happened to this game once again and has been for almost 3 years now. Some may like it and some wont. But my biggest issue with this company is knowing how they keep changing things that this game has become one big pushed out product always struggling to meet their deadlines. Seriously, how many leveling systems does this game need? How many times are they going to keep changing the game that brings it futher and futher from the concept of the game? When does removing things from this game have it's limit. When they start removing the characters abilities, set weapons like Halo? How many story characters are just going to get thrown in the trash? This game has been worked on for almost 10 years now and they still don't have any form of a foundation to build from to make an actual complete game. D2 is no more then Y1 when it was released but with less of what you were as a Guardian. At least gamers actually had a reason to run the repetitive content and rewards that were worth the time trying to acquire. What's sad is knowing this company could be offering a hell of a lot more...

27 RespuestasI see posts for the changes.... and against the changes. Does it really matter? It is not something you have control over, it is a decision Bungie has made. Wait for the beta, try it out for yourself. If you don't like it. Move on to a different game. If you like it, buy the game. Pretty simple really.

2 RespuestasI don't want to hear any complaints you all can't get away from Nova Bombs. That old lady could cross the road before it hits anyone. Looks absolutely spectacular and I can't wait to use it. I reckon the limited changes will be a good thing. I mean, unless you're a Defender Titan, how many times do you really change things in your subclass? As I always say, just wait and see. All will be revealed in time.
-
Although I don't like the idea of it, I realise that I don't often change my nodes too much anyway. However, knowing bungo, if they have put the subclasses together so there is no synergy I won't be impressed.
-
4 RespuestasHonestly I rarely ever changed my build on my subclasses, so I don't really mind if they have limited options. But I'll decide after I play it whether or not I like the change. Just be open to different things when it comes to d2, give it a fair chance.
-
Good to have some input from someone who has played the Beta already! Thanks for posting your impressions after your hands on experience with Destiny 2.
-
The problem I have is you can only choose one no mix and match between top and bottom perks which sucks.

1 Respuesta"Coming! I'm the spring 2018 DLC! Customizable Classes!"

It's easier for Bunghole this way in case they decide to tweak a subclass. Plus we know the attention span of the average Destiny player is less than a gnat so unfortunately simplicity is the name of the game from here on out.
