Where were you at the fall?

Just wanted to type this for fun before the game comes out. Understandably, we'll probably have the same intro as every other guardian, but what about individual stories? Kinda like how we ended up dead at the beginning of D1. I imagine the few events leading up to us losing our light. Irish, named with no correlation to the lost state, was fighting off what resistance he could at the fall of the guardians' tower. Where once trading and sales could be acquired, only bullet casings with fallen cabal lay lifeless on the floor at his feet. No one could believe what was happening, cabal attacking not only Earth, but the last city. The shock hadn't worn off Irish as he navigated the, now empty, service trade stands. Fires engulfed most of the flammable areas, giving little illumination at the cowering citizens that were almost slaughtered by the legion of cabal. A lone child broke from his mother's embrace and raced over to Irish. He tugged on Irish's banner for attention. Irish looked down at what caused the pulling, and relaxed once he saw the child. "Hello child, are you okay?" asked Irish, concerned for the child's health and safety. "Yes sir, thank you for saving us!" Answered the child. His mother raced over and grasped her child once again in her arms. "Leave the guardian to do his job honey. We need to seek shelter elsewhere." The mother quickly shuffled away. Irish knew he couldn't stop at every civilian and check their well being, especially since the last attack on the city. As his fireteam moved to the next section the child yelled back at Irish, "When I grow up, I wanna be just like you!" Irish gave a slight smirk and caught up with his group. The courtyard was a disaster, giant craters were sprinkled, and in the center of one was a guardian and their ghost. Irish sprinted up the ghost to find what was wrong. It's single eye flickered, trying to read Irish's signature. "Ghost, what happened here?" The ghost's eye motioned toward the Traveler. A giant machine rocketed towards it, spreading an orange glowing sheet around its aura. Irish began to feel heavy, encumbered. What was happening? Was his light being drained? Suddenly Irish's ghost collapsed next to him. Small arms fire broke out from every direction, chaos had met an already confused Irish. One guardian on Irish's fireteam collapsed and didn't resurrect. A bolt of hot matter ripped through Irish's shoulder, exploding his armor. The trauma was so severe he hadn't seen the captain approach from his right. "Not so invincible now that your precious 'traveler' is taken from your grasp." A few grunt cabal surrounded him and barked, partly laughing with cheers. "Today is your downfall, your deaths will feed my vengeance." The captain reached down and gripped Irish by his helmet. As his massive grip slowly crushed Irish's helmet, the captain walked over to the edge of the tower. "If the drop doesn't kill you, the soon to come bombardment of this wretched excuse for a city will." Irish's last thought before losing consciousness was what the child had said to him only an hour prior. The darkness swallowed his vision. TLDR; my titan's last fight with the cabal before his light was taken. Edit: Nice, the thread is on the front page! Thank you all for your responses. It's cool to see the community's perspective of their guardians prior to D2 releasing. I like reading some of the short stories and the occasional "my guardian was cooking a marshmallow" posts. I understand it's not technically lore based, but some players like to think their guardian's story is generic and personal. It adds depth to a character we play everyday for hours.
