I see no reason for anyone to play as hunter in d2 (pve)
Yes golden gun does have 6shot crit damage. Yes arc strider is "great" mob control. However, as a titan you can summon a half wall. Then use you gun without reloading for as long the wall stands. Oh and that wall it shields you from damage, it also damages enemies who walk through it, and slows though who try to pass through it. As far as killing mobs, why not just defender/bladedancer. They get a mobile" shield" that can perform devastating melees, be thrown across the map, or used to maneuver around.
Now thats two hunters keys features done better by only 1 subclass on titan. Dps and add control. I just don't get why hunters are basically unless now compared to beefed up titans and warlocks. It's really sad.
((hunter main) (over 1600 active hours, 2400 including tower/orbit))
and ill still probably, regrettably, be a hunter
Cant speak for hunters properly at this time but they seem about on par with Titans super V super. the whole evade thing will always be useful to the hunter themselves. I'm in all honestly a Titan main in D1 but I'm considering a hunter for D2 currently.

2 RespuestasEditado por jlboozer: 7/14/2017 9:51:21 PMHunters are already asking for nerfs to titans and warlocks....and D2 isn't even released yet, lol. At least play the beta first before you start crying for nerfs!
-
I started D1 with a Hunter, played mostly as a Hunter during 3 years and will do it again in D2.
-
Then don't

2 RespuestasHow about for fun? That's a good enough reason isn't it?
-
2 RespuestasBeta not even out yet and the hunters are already crying. Why am I not surprised? If you're not playing all 3 classes you don't get to complain. You also probably suck at the game if you can't play all 3 classes and all subclasses.
-
Have you seen how quick a guardian can wipe that shield out in pvp? Imagine a pve boss with splash damage. That wall isn't gonna last 2 seconds lol
-
15 RespuestasHow about for fun you know....the soul reason that video games were made? Oh wait I forgot that everyone is ONLY supposed to use things if they are "good" right?
-
True. I see most raids being 5 titan walls that reload your guns, all sniping within a power buff by a warlock.
-
It's fun to be a hunter in pve and especially pvp.

2 RespuestasI'm gunna main a hunter in d2 pve and out dps everybody.
even other hunters
I'm just that badass

4 RespuestasEditado por Mundaney: 7/13/2017 7:02:22 AMI think people forget that dps will work differently in destiny 2 due to snipers being changed to a heavy weapon. Although this is a universal nerf to dps in pve, Gunslingers will (presumably) have high dps potential now that golden gun does precision damage and even more utility in the fact that precision hits grant orbs. Combine that with the fact that precision kills buff your fireteam's reload speed and the hunter's ability to shadestep and auto reload, I think the class has potential. It all really depends on how much damage a precision, golden gun shot does and whether or not that damage is lower if you choose the 6 shot perk. Time will tell.

1 RespuestaEvery class has two "selfish" Subclasses. Titans have Striker and Sunbreaker. Hunters have Gunslinger and Bladedancer. Warlocks have Stormcaller and Voidwalker. Nightstalker is the Hunter's "team play" Subclass. Just like the Sentinel/Defender for the Titan and the Sunsinger/Dawnblade for Warlocks. Besides, the 3rd Subclasses haven't been confirmed yet, so wait until you pass judgment.
-
Yep. It the same situation as blade dancer. You don't see people using blade dancer in nightfall or heroic raids. (Except invisibility to res someone).
-
so i watched the arc staider vid again, looks like hunters are getting rewarded for mobility. melee recharges marksman dodge and disorientate enemy tho theirs no knife, idk man looks like we gotta wait and see but a big part of me is saying marksman dodge needs a time buff. sorry if my deductions disturb.

2 RespuestasSo what you're looking at is practicality, and you are comparing two classes without having full knowledge of both. Playing this game is more than just about which method is most efficient, and it is also extremely illogical to compare two things without full knowledge of both.

Arcstrider will be good for mob clearing. And no, sentinel will not be the ad clearer. He's too busy poping ward of dawns

Editado por XenosInvictus: 7/13/2017 2:29:38 PMI'm going to remake my Hunter on xbone. Once a hunter main, always a hunter main.

Hunters are the best in my book jumping is so much easier to control which you need in raids and they have way better looking gear.

4 RespuestasIs having fun not a reason?

I might main Hunter just to be contrary.
-
2 RespuestasI'm gonna be voidwalker just for a hard counter to sentinel for PvP. For PvE, probably Dawnblade.

14 RespuestasEditado por TheArtist: 7/13/2017 11:37:05 AMSorry you feel that way. I see lots of reasons and look forward to it. Oh---and just for shits-and-giggles----how much of that 1600 hours were spent in the Crucible?
-
1 RespuestaSide note: Chains of Woe now affects allies. Also, Warlocks have been the 'slayers' of the raid for 3 whole years. It's important someone dealing damage while others set up. The Hunter seems more a distraction or diversion now. Shoot the boss a few times, or kill adds and activate CoW, allowing Warlocks and Titans a second to set up walls and rifts. Then, dodge away to avoid damage. Because Armour, Recovery and Agility can now be set by your gear, you also can go tank. I think Hunters should have kept some support usability tho.

Editado por GalaxySpider: 7/13/2017 11:32:04 AMGunslinger has a team buff now. CoW for the whole team can make a huge difference in damage output. People always seem to forget that because it's not a class ability or super *smh* Also the agility of a hunter makes it harder for enemies to you OR your teammates. It's a lot easier to distract enemies with a hunter than any other class IMO. This can make quite a difference. I will use my huntress in D2 because the slow jumping/gliding on Warlocks and Titans annoys me. I guess I will try the other classes but tbh if you main a hunter and switch you are a pussy, lol. I see no reason at ALL to switch cauz hunters just have their place in this game as any other class. It's a coop shooter in the first place anyway. Also they look cooler :p
