You really want to stand still for 15 seconds at the start of each game to capture a zone?

It's forced movement. Lots of players head right to B at the onset of the match, anyway. This is "encouraging" all players to converge in the middle of the map from the start. It's dumbing down Control.

Eh disagree, different mechanics doesn't equal "dumbing down" anything.
Eh disagree, different mechanics doesn't equal "dumbing down" anything.
You can disagree all you want. Bungie removed choice. That's dumbing down. It's like they think we lack the attention span to stand at our own control point and cap it. Pretty sure I can stand still for 15 seconds. I don't get bored. I don't get distracted. I don't get twitchy because I'm not pulling the trigger. -blam!-, I may even elect on my own to go hit B-Line. This is, again, them telling us to play how they want us to play.
-
Oh man, you can still sit on a or c to defend it in the beginning of games. There will be plenty of players that will go for the enimies flag at once. Bungie is NOT telling you how you should play the game and if you still think that you're just stupid.
-
That pretty much all your opinion

It puts an emphasis on team fights and proper lane control. Pair it with the static cap speed and no neutralizing and youve got yourself a decent comp game mode.

Does it really? I mean, we're still going to have the KD whores who treat every game mode like Clash. You can't remove that. They've made it so there's more explosions and move gunfire. I'm not 12 and I don't have ADD/ADHD. I can spend the first 15 seconds of the match without explosions. I won't get bored, I swear.

Editado por kellen100: 7/11/2017 8:57:48 AMIs that 15 second period at the beginning really important? It's not 6v6 anymore.

Editado por BoomerSooner51: 7/11/2017 10:23:01 PMI don't think it was unimportant enough to change. The choice to cap A/C or head to B-Line was removed in favor of immediate explosions/gun fire. It seems to cater to the "erh ma gerd i needa blew shit up now er ima die" type of player. I also don't like being told that "players had too much to do and got too spread out" at the start of a match. I can decide for myself what to do. Edited for terrible English.

Dude, my English there was atrocious. Maybe they're doing it because 4v4 could be painfully slow without the autocapping since there's fewer players causing chaos. But if they built the maps around 4v4, then maybe it wouldn't be slower because the maps would be smaller. I don't know. But being told that players just had "too much to do" makes it sound like the average player can't walk and chew bubblegum at the same time.

But then again...they did dumb down the OG Destiny for little kids. Like it or not those kiddos probably make up 90% of the community and having too many options would confound their poor little prefrontal cortex.

Dude, we're replacing spinning rims with fidget spinners. The ADD/ADHD is real.

You re not wrong...though I am also not saying you are right. Those first 15 seconds allowed window for diversification of tactics. It forced the team and the individual players to make strategic choices how to approach the match. Who stays? Who goes to B? Are we all rushing to capture B? Are we going to rush enemy spawn....or block enemy approach to B itself. It also enabled individual players to play according to their own strengths. Chosing a more stealthy tactical approach or a more brute force approach. The new mode seems to take away that choice and dictate the rush to engagement. It is to this point I entirely agree with you. However....I do not think that that necessarily will lead to the limitation of choice in general....but enables the development of new choices and tactics. At least...I hope it does. We will see.
