Did you know that this is PlayStation exclusive?
Yes that's correct, Xbox users will never get Japanese Shaxx for Destiny 1.
But current PlayStation users should be able change their language to Japanese to experience the full force!
Edit: This seems to not be the case, simply changing the language in the console will not change the language in-game, if anyone can figure this out please post :)
But hopefully this can be changed for Destiny 2! But I'm doubtful 😞

Destiny only has one audio pack per disc/download, which is the native one associated with the region of purchase. Everything works fine still on the JPN version because there's no region lock which is a plus.

I hope the ghost sounds better than the one in D2. I may change languages just to get rid of that annoying squeek in it's voice. I just cant get over that. It's hard on my ears.

It's probably in Japanese because of the region of purchase. If I buy a game in France, it will be in French, regardless of where I live (if it will even run on an American system).
