I personally don't see how a bit of fancy editing, some shitty EDM and some headshots culminate into a feature on the dev website and a special emblem. By this logic, i could run around in patrol mode, snipe a few captains, throw in some grunge and become insta-famous.
Could we have some creativity thrown in there? Like how about the person who made an aksis costume from scratch.
Just some food for thought.

Montages take a great deal of effort, both for the person who got the clips and the person who edited them. If anything, I find it disappointing when someone does something in pve that gets MOTW while several people who spent days or weeks on their montage didn't get the emblem. There are exceptions to this of course, but for the most part, I find montages to be the most impressive MOTW submissions.

2 RespuestasI wish more thought was put into making the videos. Do something different guys.

1 RespuestaI'd rather have a hilarious 30-60 second fail video (with little editing) than yet another sniper montage any week.
-
it gets boring after a while. now i just read the TWAB to see bungie say a bunch of cryptic stuff about what's coming in the future and brag about how much they are enjoying vacations and traveling to big events. then proceed to put some montages of some guys sniping people.
-
The never-ending sniper montages were played out long ago. Immediately stop and move on whenever I see it starting. That's just my opinion. The only thing I found cool in this week's videos was the Afterlife background song. Thanks for the new tune.

7 RespuestasWords can't describe how much time, effort and creativity went into the destiny edit that was motw this week, I can't expect you to understand if you don't have an eye for video editing, but AJ is an amazing editor and the least you could do is show some respect
Could we have some creativity thrown in there? Like how about the person who made an aksis costume from scratch.
no because weeb.

8 Respuestas...because 95% of the videos on the 'Creations' page are montages. If you dunked your hand into a bucket of blue paint, should you be surprised if your hand comes back coloured blue?
-
Im with you on that, but the problem is everyone right now is creating only cruciable montages
-
I like seeing the "wtf" clips. I honestly thought my video of the cowardly rocket would make it but I guess they don't like showcasing glitches
-
2 RespuestasEven Rocky had a montage.
-
I agree, but no one wants to see PvE montages, and the dancing clips are boring.
-
Not just you, the entire game and even D2 seems to be based around pvp
-
Always been that way. But I think they are pretty cool.

3 RespuestasWhat did you expect to find in the Montage Of The Week section?
-
Yep, either sniper montages or Husky Raid videos.
-
More often than not, I prefer the 'honourable mention' vid. Just because people think its good editing, doesnt make MOTW enjoyable if you have seen the same game play 100 times before. Slow mo of a slide, Shotgun in the face, Slow mo of watching players in the distance, Snipe 2 or 3 players, Rinse and repeat about 10 times. It gets very boring, regardless of editing.
-
1 RespuestaHow that failed fist of havoc vid on Crossroads B point didn't make it in the top three is scandalous. That was the best thing I've seen in a year!
-
No, MOTW is always some PVP montage we've seen 500 times before. I remember the unique PVE vids and PVP vids, but those are all being tossed aside to honerable mentions because, "He sniped someone with a NLB" is a much more interesting video than a recap of our journey.

7 RespuestasEditado por tanis38: 6/30/2017 2:01:06 PMI enjoy a nice Crucible montage. But I HATE this new trend of over-produced montages set to a soundtrack that are "named" something abstract and ridiculous. It is comical really. They all look exactly the same. They use too much editing, annoying filters to the point that you cannot even tell what you are looking at, and can't make up their minds whether they want to speed the footage up or slow it down. They are unwatchable. What impresses me is just straight up, unedited gameplay showing impressive tactics and kill streaks. No color filters, no slow motion, no song playing in the background. Just show your skill in the Crucible, not on Adobe Premier.

6 RespuestasAhh everytime conspiracy, enjoy this.. This morning, i used redbull instead of water to make my coffee. After 15 minutes driving on a highway, i realized i left my car at home

Bungie is clueless as to good content, people are bribing Bungie for MOTW. WAKE UP, TOWER,

3 RespuestasCrucible montages take years of clips and days (literally days) of editing to compile. Your stupid shooting captains is not gonna work. I'm glad that these are winning. Motw

5 RespuestasHonestly the top Pick this week "Cease" looks staged.

47 RespuestasEditado por Masko: 6/30/2017 1:20:44 PMMe and my friend (who is a youtuber) spent a whole month to make a dank fusion rifle montage that would be both visually good and feature dank kills. That was last summer. After I submitted it for MOTW it wasn't even considered. That week MOTW was a dance montage and a mediocre sniper montage. Do I have to say anything else?

The most recent motw has to be the worst to date.
