Oh boy, this gun. The weapon nerfed until it was a crappy pea shooter with insane recoil. I went to use it some more and I honestly regret it. It's just a bloom infused husk of what was once a great weapon.
-
I just recently got it and I love it but I do agree they do need to buff if they would because of D2
-
I think it's sad that Thorn is worse than most legendaries
-
Nightstalker burn enough said get kills all day that way. Nightstalker is my best and fav class to use and the Thorn just fits the nightstalker perfectly. But here's a tip don't take the Thorn in Trials 95% of Trials players have the artifact that takes away consistent damage. I am one of those that where's it in Trials and Crucible because of Titan's burn melee.
-
Not really, it gets people running in normal crucible... oh the ptsd is real
-
2 RespuestasGood. That gun is cancer.
-
Worked the grind for Thorn one....what a crucible breaking god gun it was. Thorn 2 is a paper tiger ..... sadly not worth the moniker of exotic.
-
It's far from what it was...and you're better off with a max range pali or luna but... the gun is still very much usable and pretty accurate too! I had a blast using it recently and found it to be more consistent with perfect balance instead of send it. Basically accept that its not a well ranged weapon anymore and sure up its strength as a quick firing punchy close range headshot machine!

19 RespuestasAll the exotic handcannons do. :/

I feel u bro I was so disappointed when I got it

Editado por FurytheArcher: 6/29/2017 9:30:23 PMI dont Know about u guys but i aways use thorn, op or shit, i thinks its still good tho
-
I've used it several times in the last couple of months. The only way I can get kills is by using it in closer-than-usual ranges and spamming the trigger. The burn may not do any substantial damage but it keeps players from regenerating health. I won't even touch Thorn if I'm using it in PvE lol.
-
1 RespuestaI already knew it was just a french tickler nowadays in PvP but I ran a few strikes with it in PvE just for giggles and to enjoy the ornaments for it. Even in PvE it's below shite level. It's literally just vault candy or to be used when feeling like being ironic.
-
Editado por CIKiller: 6/30/2017 2:45:16 AMGood, I was tired of having thorn's effect being a permanent screen effect like it was in Y1 crucible.
-
I love using it. Especially with weapons of light.
-
4 RespuestasIt had its time. Bungie seems to let certain weapons have their hay day and send them to the vault for good. But good players always prevail 💪🏻
-
5 RespuestasYea, Bungie HATES fun👎🏻
-
It's great fun in pve, but I'm glad we don't have to deal with it in pvp anymore.
-
Good riddance to that gun and everyone who used it.

Editado por BIGMAC103: 6/29/2017 12:48:18 PMToo much recoil? Lol, try using hawkmoon. It has the worst stability I ever seen on a handcannon. Not to mention hawkmoon has even less range then thorn and the lucky bullets don't do shit anymore. I've noticed that all the exotic handcannons suffer from the same issues. They all lack range and stability, which are the most important attributes to handcannons. Plus, they have all had their exotic perks nerfed significantly. This is why no one uses the exotic handcannons. I think the hawkmoon and thorn could use a range and stability buff. And hawkmoon needs changes to its ballistics. What's the point of having accurized and field choke if they both do the same thing? Field choke should be replaced with smart drift control to help with hawkmoons horrid recoil.
-
Just took thorn into rumble supremecy, it was slow at first... but after a round i got a feel for it, (i suggest using perfect balance instead of send it... the range suffers but you really need the stability to land shots) and had a lot of fun. Even got sum of all tears using it, a 16 kill spree. If you use perfect balance you dont have to pace your shots as much, but you have to be aware of the range drop off...

3 RespuestasThey should have never brought it back in the first place
-
-
I wish they buffed the Aim-Assist to match its current Arche-type. (there's a reason why no one using Hf Handcannons, might as well give it its only positive trait)
-
Indeed. Not worth doing the quest for it.
