Ever experience the Destiny effect? You know, you have a stack of unfinished games because Destiny took over all your free time. For me, it started with the launch of Destiny. I was most of the way through Stryder the day before launch and then never got back to it. To counter the Destiny effect and broaden my gaming horizons, I have been working through my backlog and have actually completed 39 games this generation. I just finished up the Uncharted series and am now working on Metal Gear Solid V. I might even finish Stryder. Not going to lie, this would not be possible without breaks in Destiny content. With 1600 hours in Destiny, I am as much of an addict as anyone. Anyway, I encourage everyone to keep gaming. There is a lot of great stuff out there.
[Edited to add another game I completed, the delightful Unraveled.]

I am trying to get away, but haven't been able to yet.

1 Respuestatbh adulthood had a worse effect. I think I've completed maybe 5 games since 2013

6 RespuestasI never I understood how someone could buy a game and not play it immediately. The whole "backlog" thing just makes no sense to me.

1 RespuestaI have managed to do over 45 games this generation despite destiny taking all my time up over 3 years
-
My strategy was to grind out new content for a month or two and then I would play other games until I felt like playing destiny again.

1 RespuestaEditado por Ewoktapus: 6/30/2017 8:16:03 PMOnly a dumbass would buy a game and not play it for months. Only excuse that is valid is if you got a bundle of a bunch of different games.

7 RespuestasSo you realize how bad Destiny is compared to the other games you have completed? MGS 5 should really highlight that.

1 RespuestaEditado por chickengoujohn93: 6/29/2017 7:34:13 PMThis game has seen pretty substantial droughts over the course of three years. Checking games off lists shouldn't really have been an issue.

1 RespuestaOh it sucked my gameforce hard. I had to conscientiously make an effort to get through all the old games building up. Quit cold turkey. Then play it again, because let's face it, it's Destiny!
(V) (;,,;) (V) wubwubwubwubwub!
1 RespuestaEditado por Smash House Breck: 6/28/2017 11:44:35 PMI feel you. I'm still not completely caught up. After getting into Destiny I eventually ran out of time to play it and had to jump into less time consuming games.

1 RespuestaUntil you shake that monkey on your back I can't take anything you say seriously. Get clean man, you don't know until you're clean.

1 RespuestaI have a back catalogue for this very reason. I've beaten plenty of games since Destiny released but I still have a decent amount to finish fully in regards to Platinum trophies. I'm trying to finish up as much as possible before D2 launches haha.
